Exceptional Factory Game Scene Engraved Remington
Model 241-F Semi-Automatic Rifle - Serial no. 93424, 22 LR
cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, deluxe checkered walnut stock.
Manufactured in 1948. Fitted with beaded blade front and elevation
adjustable rear sights. The barrel is marked on top with the Remington
address on top, and with the caliber marking on the left side at the chamber. The barrel displays a light
spray of floral scroll on top of the chamber and geometric motifs on the barrel collar. The receiver has
been cut with central game scenes of a hare bounding through a wooded scene on the left above the
model and serial number, and a squirrel on a broken tree limb reaching out for a cluster of acorns on
the right. The game scenes are surrounded by floral scroll engraving on a punchdot background with geometric motifs created by the negative space and a floral bloom on top.
Mounted in a beautifully figured multi-point checkered beavertail forend and pistol grip stock with Remington hard rubber grip cap, and checkered buttplate.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks, and crisp engraving. Wood is very fine with minor dings and scratches, frosting near
the butt, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. This would be the perfect way to fill that void in your Remington or rimfire collection!

Factory Engraved Remington Model
8D Semi-Automatic Rifle - Serial no.
20773, 25 Rem cal., 22 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock.
Manufactured from 1906 to 1936. Offered here is the D grade of the Model 8 as
it features approximately 1/4 coverage of fine scroll engraving as well as zig-zag line borders on the receiver. Additional
engraving appears on the barrel at the breech, magazine, and trigger guard. The serial number is engraved on the
underside of the frame. The rifle is fitted with a beaded blade Lyman front sight, folding elevation adjustable leaf rear
sight, and folding tang peep sight. The attractively figured walnut forearm and straight grip stock are checkered. The
buttstock is fitted with a hard rubber Remington buttplate.
CONDITION: Fine, retaining 85% original blue finish on the receiver, 95% refinished blue on the barrel, with thinning on the balance.
The engraving is crisp. The wood is very fine with a few minor handling marks, finish beginning to craze, and crisp checkering. Mechanically
excellent. A solid representative example of 20th century Remington artistry.
