The receiver and sides of the lever display gold inlaid wire borders with small scrolls at the end which
surround floral scroll on a punch dot background surrounding three panels containing a bison and
pronghorn antelope on the left and a stagecoach with a four horse team on the left. The scrollwork flows
round the sides of the action, spilling on the underside, top of the bolt, and receiver end of the upper
tang. Mounted in a beautifully figured walnut forearm with engraved barrel bands, and straight tang
stock with engraved buttplate finial.
CONDITION: Excellent overall as embellished by Master Engraver Neil Hartliep, retaining 99% plus blue
finish with limited handling marks, a couple light spots and pitting under the finish, and crisp engraving.
Mechanically excellent. This would make a magnificent addition to any engraved firearms collection!
