Colt M16A2 Selective Fire Rifle, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable
Machine Gun - Serial no. 8002931, 5.56 mm cal., 20 inch round bbl.,
matte black phosphate finish, synthetic stock. Manufactured as part of the
“8 million” commercial serial range. Externally, the overall configuration
follows the A2 pattern, with a “C MP 5.56 NATO 1/7” marked HBAR profile
barrel, vented round handguard, “C/M” marked upper receiver with round
forward assist and extended casing deflector, “M16A2” marked lower
receiver with fenced mag catch and “SAFE/SEMI/BURST” marked right
handed selector, checkered grip, and a fixed buttstock. Internally, the
trigger mechanism is configured for semi-automatic and full automatic
fire, with no provision for burst firing, matte black finished bolt group, and
one-piece buffer. Included with the rifle is a black nylon sling and three
extra magazines.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 98% plus original matte black phosphate finish,
with light scratches and handling marks overall. Mechanically excellent.
NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class
3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and
Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR
part 479.
