Presentation Grade Gold Plated Iraqi Tariq 7.65 mm Auto
Semi-Automatic Pistol with Case - Serial no. 31522437, 7.65 mm
auto cal., 3 1/2 inch round bbl., gold finish, plastic grips. Manufactured
in Iraq under license from Beretta, the 7.65 mm Tariq is patterned directly after the Beretta
Model 70 pistol. No formal commercial importation of either the 7.65 mm or 9 mm Tariq pistols was ever

brought them from either Operation Desert Storm or the Global War on Terror as field-captured war
trophies. Such gold plated Tariq pistols have been attributed as presentation items for high-ranking
officers and dignitaries. Features fixed sights blade front and notch rear sights, Arabic legend on the left side of the slide,
and “TARIQ 7.65m/m IRAQ - Licensed by BERETTA” on the right of the slide. Fitted with a pair of checkered black plastic

case and original Tariq manual.

the slide, some minor spotting, and light handling wear. The grips are also very fine with a hairline crack in the right panel.
Mechanically excellent. The custom case is fine.

Pistol with Matching Combination Leather Holster/
Shoulder Stock - Serial no. 475, 7.8 mm cal., 4 1/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, metal stock, hard
rubber grips. Developed in the late 1890s, the Bergmann Model 1897 Model 5 was intended for both
commercial and military audiences, and was a very advanced weapon for its day. The core of the weapon is a short recoil action, with a
fixed outer sleeve enclosing the free-moving barrel, dual hold open mechanisms (a notch on the underside of the bolt for the hammer, and
a block built into the magazine follower), and a slot on the bottom of the grip frame to accept a stock. Blade front sight and an elevation adjustable
notch rear sight graduated from 100 to 1000 meters, with “PISTOLET BERGMANN/PATENT BREVETE S.G.D.C.” on top of the bolt, “crown/crown/U” on the
left side of the frame, and matching numbers on the frame and magazine. The safety and rear sight are finished in niter blue, with other small parts
in straw color and a set of checkered hard rubber grips with “B” imprints. The scare shoulder stock is built around a blued steel skeleton framework,
around which is assembled a leather holster with no visible makers marks, two compartments, and a niter blue mounting iron with spring
loaded catch.
CONDITION: Very fine, with 85% of the professionally restored blue finish, showing small patches of pitting on the muzzle end of the barrel sleeve, a
few dings around the ejector port, and mild spotting and handling marks overall. The straw and niter blue colors are vivid, and the grips show minor
dings and dents. Mechanically excellent. The stock is very good with professionally replaced leather, 70% original blue on the matching attachment
lug, with some scuffs and dark spots overall.
