Heiser Saddlery
produced a wide
range of leather goods,
including gun leather, well into the
20th century. This deluxe dress dual holster rig was made for a pair of 5 1/2 inch Colt
Single Action Army revolvers. The belt and holsters are decorated with high quality, near
full coverage deep relief carved floral motifs. The holsters are in the Mexican loop pattern
featuring two loops, open toe, and contrasting leather lacing. The belt has 30 cartridge
loops. The belt and both holsters are marked with the H.H. Heiser logo along with “753”
on the holsters and “65/40” on the belt. The sterling silver Irvine & Jachens Inc. belt buckle
features full coverage floral and scroll engraving along with a relief gold inlaid horse’s
head in the center of a five-pointed star. Irvine & Jachens started in 1886 and continues
to manufacture high quality police and fire badges and other hand engraved products.
They are the oldest badge manufacturer in the West.
CONDITION: Excellent displaying minimal wear. This deluxe H.H. Heiser holster rig
makes for the perfect accessory for a pair of equally embellished 5 1/2 inch Colt
Single Actions.

Highly Attractive Engraved and Gold Inlaid Black Powder Colt Single
Action Army Revolver with Ivory Grips - Serial no. 121527, 45 Long Colt
cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, ivory grips. Manufactured in 1887 and
subsequently beautifully embellished/enhanced in the late 20th century with
a high quality floral scroll engraving pattern on a stippled background accented
with gold inlaid line borders. Although the engraving is unsigned, the work is that of a very
talented late 20th/early 21st century artisan. The engraving covers most of the surface. Even
the side of the front sight did not escape the engraver’s embellishment. The barrel has the
two-line Colt Hartford address on top. The left side of the frame has the three-line patent
dates marking. The caliber designation “45 CAL” is marked on the left side of the trigger guard.
Full blue finish and fitted with a highly attractive one-piece grip.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine as highly embellished with 99% plus of the blue finish remaining, limited handling marks,
and crisp engraving. The grip is excellent with very attractive color and grain. Mechanically excellent. A stunning work of
modern firearms art on an antique black powder Colt SAA steel canvas.

Cattle Brand Engraved Nickel and
Gold Plated First Generation Colt
Single Action Army Revolver with
Ivory Grips and Factory Letter - Serial no.
323256, 38 WCF cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., nickel/gold finish, ivory grips. The factory letter lists
this revolver in .38-40 with a 4 3/4 inch barrel and blue finish when it was part of a shipment of 5
guns of this type sent to Stauffer Eshlemen & Company in New Orleans, Louisiana, on September 26,
1912. It was subsequently custom embellished with traditional Texas cattle brand pattern pioneered
by Cole Agee. This highly desirable pattern was developed in the 1940/50s and depicted the more prominent and historic Texas cattle
brands used in the 1880s and early 1900s. The engraving covers nearly all of the surface and is in the typical Western style, all on a punch dot
background. Although the work is unsigned, the quality is that of a well accomplished master engraver. Gold plated cylinder, hammer, trigger,
and ejector rod. Nickel plated barrel, frame, and grip straps. Matching serial numbers appear on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap.
CONDITION: Very fine as custom embellished, retaining 95% nickel and 70% gold finishes and modified front sight. The engraving is crisp. The
slightly undersized grip is fine with a few typical age lines and attractive color and
grain. Mechanically excellent.
