Outstanding, Benchmark, Documented San
Francisco Shipped Pre-World War II Colt Model 1903
Pocket Hammerless Semi-Automatic Pistol with
Original Box and Factory Letter - Serial no. 515108, 32
ACP cal., 3 3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips.
Manufactured in 1934, this is truly a benchmark example
of a pre-World War II Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless
pistol in its original box. Pocket pistols such as this are
rarely found without the wear of having been carried in a
pocket or holster, while this example looks as though it barely ever left its factory box, which itself appears near factory new. A pistol and original factory box such
as this are a true time capsule of firearms collecting. The included factory letter confirms the caliber and finish, as well as shipment to Dunham, Carrigan & Hayden
Co. in San Francisco, California on 9 February 1934. The left side of the slide is marked with the two-line address and patent dates, followed by the Rampant Colt
behind the serrations. The right side of the slide has the two-line caliber marking. The serial number is marked on the left of the frame, with “W/VP” on the left of
the trigger guard and “75” on the right. It is fitted with blade and notch sights, a pair of checkered walnut grips with Colt medallions, and a two-tone magazine with
correct marking on the baseplate. Includes the original factory box.
CONDITION: Near new in original box, retains 99% plus of the bright, original, high polish blue finish with only the slightest handling marks. The grips are also
near new with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is excellent with a few light handling marks and some faint
fading/staining. This is truly a benchmark example of the Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless pistol with its original box, which would be a very welcome addition
to even the most prestigious collections of Colt automatics!
