Winchester 20 Gauge Model 21 Skeet Double Barrel Shotgun with
Extra Barrel Set - Serial no. 10995, 20 gauge, 26 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Built with blued
Winchester Proof Steel barrels with dual bead sights on the matted concave solid rib, standard barrel markings, chokes
marked “WS-1”/”WS-2”, and chambers marked 2 3/4 inches with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to a blued action
which is unadorned aside from “SKEET” marked on the triggerplate below the screw. The gun features a single selective trigger and a
tang mounted manual safety with gold inlaid “SAFE” indicator. The gun is fitted with a nicely figured and multi-point checkered beavertail
forend as well as a pistol grip stock with a factory red rubber recoil pad. Included is a second later 20 gauge
barrel set numbered “W10995” to match, and measuring 28 inches with chokes marked “FULL”/”MOD”. Barrel
measurements for the extra set (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .618/.616 inches; choke constriction .026/.013 inches; minimum wall thickness
.032/.032 inches. Barrel and stock measurements for the primary set (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .615/.614 inches; choke constriction .004(jug)/.009 inches;
minimum wall thickness .032/.030 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/4 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 10 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine overall as professionally refurbished, retaining 95% blue finish with some edge wear, scattered minor spotting, light handling evidence and scratches, and sharp checkering on
the freshened wood. Mechanically excellent. The extra barrel set is also very fine.

solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Built with blued Winchester Proof Steel barrels with a single bead sight on the
matted concave solid rib, chokes marked “IMP.CYL.”/”MOD.”, and chambers marked 2 3/4 inches with automatic ejectors.
The barrels are fitted to a blued action which is unadorned and features a single selective trigger and a tang mounted
automatic safety. The gun is fitted with a beautifully figured and multi-point checkered beavertail forend as well as a
pistol grip stock with a factory red rubber recoil pad. Included is a second later 12 gauge barrel set numbered to match,
and measuring 28 inches with chokes marked “MOD”/”FULL”. Also included is a factory wood and leather takedown case
with canvas cover. Barrel measurements for the extra set (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .729/.729
inches; choke constriction .010/.031 inches; minimum wall thickness .035/.038 inches. Barrel and stock measurements for
the primary set (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .731/.731 inches; choke constriction .006/.008 inches;
minimum wall thickness .033/.031 inches; 1 11/16 inch drop at comb; 2 11/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull;
weight 7 lbs. 11 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 90% original blue finish on the receiver, 95% professionally refinished blue finish on the
triggerguard and barrels, some very minor scattered spotting, some wear at the stock head junction, a few minor dings
and scratches, and crisp checkering on the refinished wood. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine. The extra barrel set is very fine.

Engraved 21-1 Pattern Winchester Model 21
Double Barrel Shotgun with Factory Letter and Extra Barrel Set - Serial no.
32438, 12 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Built with blued
steel barrels featuring dual bead sights on the matted concave solid rib which
is marked “CUSTOM BUILT BY WINCHESTER FOR H. E. GARDINER”, single band of
engraving at either breech, standard markings, chokes marked “MOD”/”FULL”,
and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to the
blue finished boxlock action which displays added attractive Winchester 21-1
pattern engraving consisting of floral scrollwork on all sides as well as on the triggerguard and toplever. The
gun features a single selective gold trigger and a tang mounted automatic safety with gold inlaid “SAFE”
indicator. The gun is fitted with an attractively figured and multi-point checkered beavertail forend with
engraved blue forend iron and an ebony tip inlay as well as a pistol grip stock with blued steel grip cap,
“H/E/G” in the gold inscription oval, and Winchester ventilated rubber recoil pad.
The included factory letter confirms custom grade, 12 gauge, barrel length, chokes, chambers with ejectors, safety, sights, “H.E.
Gardiner” on rib, stock type, forend type, and Winchester recoil pad when the gun began inspection on August 27, 1965 and finished
inspection on September 10, 1965, for Abercrombie & Fitch. The engraving is not mentioned in the letter. Also included is a second
non-matching numbered 30 inch 12 gauge barrel set with 2 3/4 inch chambers and chokes marked “FULL”/”MOD”.
Barrel measurements for the extra set (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .735/.731 inches; choke constriction .034/.013 inches; minimum wall thickness .030/.029 inches. Barrel and stock
measurements for the original set (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .731/.731 inches; choke constriction .008/.033 inches; minimum wall thickness .028/.030 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 9/16
inch drop at heel; 14 3/4 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 13 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 90% original blue finish on the barrels some thinning at the left breech, 85% original blue on the receiver with much of the loss on the fences, some handling evidence, some dings and scratches in
the roiled wood, and overall crisp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. The extra barrels are also very fine.
