Factory Alfonse Marechal Signed
and Engraved Belgian Browning .22 Auto Grade III
Semi-Automatic Rifle - Serial no. 73T71515, 22 LR cal., 19 3/8
inch round bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Manufactured
in 1973, the rifle features a blued barrel with blade front and adjustable flip-
up notch rear sights, standard factory markings, two drilled and tapped holes on the
barrel with filler screws, and a gold trigger. The barrel is fitted to the coin grey receiver which
displays Grade III engraving consisting of a setter flushing a pair of pheasant cocks on the left, a setter
flushing a trio of mallards on the right, and a setter with
a shot mallard in his mouth on the top side. The left side of the receiver is signed
“AMARECHAL” for highly regarded FN engraver Alfonse Marechal. The rifle is fitted with
a beautifully figured and multi-point skip-line checkered forend as well as a pistol grip
stock with serrated blued steel buttplate.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with minor
handling evidence, a few minor marks on the wood, some dried grease on the triggerguard, and sharp checkering on the
stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.

Factory Masters Gino Cargnel and Angelo Bee Signed, Engraved, and Gold Inlaid Belgian Browning BAR Grade V Semi-Automatic Rifle with Case - Serial no. 46120M8, 308 Win cal., 22 inch
round bbl., blue/gold finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1968 and built with a blued barrel featuring a hooded beaded blade front, folding leaf rear sights, and standard factory markings. The barrel
is fitted to the blued receiver which displays highly attractive floral scroll engraving over a matted background surrounding a gold bordered and gold inlaid game scene on either side, showing a trio
of pronghorn antelope on the left and a trio of whitetail on the right. The engraving is signed “GINO” at the bottom of the left scene and “ABEE” in the scroll at the bottom left, indicating that the game
scenes were cut by FN Master Gino Cargnel and the scroll by Master Angelo Bee. The rifle is fitted with a beautifully figured and vine carved and checkered forend and pistol grip stock with a blank gold
inscription oval and a factory buttplate. Included is a full length factory Naugahyde case.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue and gold finishes with minor handling evidence. There is a tiny crack at the left side of the forend at the junction with the receiver; otherwise, the
wood is also excellent with a few minor marks and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine.
