The upper, lower and bolt carrier on this example have been
modified heavily to accommodate the aforementioned Ciener-
style belt conversion, with an actuator arm in a dovetail slot in
the upper receiver, which is controlled by a raceway in the bolt
carrier, the feed mechanism occupying the space of the magazine
well, and a combination ammo bin and belt link catcher hanging
below the feed mechanism. The carrier is chrome finished and
unmarked, with a retaining pin slot rearranged to be clear of the
raceway, and an “M/P” marked chromed bolt head.
CONDITION: Excellent as upgraded to belt feed operation, with
95% plus original matte gray phosphate finish, showing minor
handling marks and edge wear, along with the previously
mentioned cuts made to the upper and lower receiver. The
furniture is fine, with some scuffs and dents. A retention pin for
connecting the box carrier to the main feed mechanism body
is absent, otherwise the feed conversion components are all
in good order. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a
National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is
registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and
Explosives, (BATFE) that is classified as a “Curios or Relic” as
defined in 27 CFR, 478.11. These weapons are still subject to the
provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479.
