RPB SM10 Selective Fire

Operational Briefcase, Class III/
NFA -A) RPB SM10 Converted Submachine Gun, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable
Machine Gun, with Operational Briefcase - Serial no. SAP94140, 9 mm cal., 6 inch round bbl., matte
black finish, metal stock. Developed in the 1970s as an attempt to create new revenue from outside the
NFA field, the SM10 used many of the same components as its full auto forefather the M10, combining
an open bolt action with controls configured for semi-automatic function only and eliminating the slots for the
telescoping stock to make a handgun available to the general public. Production would be nixed in the 1980s, as
the BATFE determined that open bolt weapons are too easy to convert to full automatic. This example has been
registered as an NFA item, with a set of selective fire components installed and the rear slots opened up, effectively
converting it back to a M10 9mm submachine gun; no NFA/SOT operator’s mark is present on the weapon, and the
registration gives the manufacturer as RPB. Blade and peep sights, with the SM10 markings and “SAP” prefix serial
number on the right side of the frame, safety switch on the underside next to the triggerguard, a selector switch on
the left side (marked “SEMI”, with the full auto position properly unmarked), plastic grip extension, and a two-position
telescoping buttstock. The barrel is threaded, but properly without provision for a swiveling front grip. Included with
the lot is a black leather “operational briefcase” style concealment device, configured to hold the weapon with the
stock dismounted and the included silencer (see Item B for more details) in ready to fire condition, with a firing port
on one side (with a business card slot to conceal the port), and internal casing deflector to reduce the risk of a spent
shell bouncing back and jamming the weapon, and a firing lever that extends through the bottom of the case.
CONDITION: Excellent as upgraded to selective fire operation, with 90% plus factory quality matte black finish,
showing some mild handling marks and some coverage of protective grease. The grip extension and stock how mild
wear. Mechanically excellent. The operational briefcase shows mild wear and tear; the firearm and silencer are a good but extremely
tight fit with the included magazine. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered
with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479.
B) RBP Industries M10 Class III/NFA Silencer - Serial no. T5010K, 9 mm cal., black finish. Constructed from aluminum and steel, with a
combination of a ported expansion chamber and dismountable wipe module for sound moderation,
with an overall length of 7 1/2 inches.
CONDITION: Very good, with mild wear and handling marks on the exterior. The wipes are oxidized, but show little wear. NOTE: This

Scarce Walther Model MPK Submachine Gun, Class III/NFA “SALES
SAMPLE” Machine Gun, with Extra Magazines and Case - Serial no.
22812, 9 mm cal., 7 inch round bbl., matte gray finish, metal stock. Introduced
in 1963, the Walther MP (“Maschinenpistole”, literally Machine Pistol) was a
major competitor against the Heckler & Koch MP5 as a military and police
weapon, with users among many West German
police forces, the U.S. Navy Seals, and Delta
Force. Built around a straight blowback
mechanism with a stamped metal
body, the MP uses a telescoping
bolt assembly with the main mass
of the bolt and the recoil spring
assembly positioned above the
barrel, keeping the weapon relatively
compact. This example was imported by
Inter-American for use as a pre-1986 sales
sample for soliciting purchases from
American agencies. Post front and notch
rear sights, with import marks on the
barrel, matching numbers on the
receiver and trigger housing, electro-
penciled matching number on the
bolt, three position ambidextrous
selector with “E/D/S” (semi/full/safe)
markings, ribbed grips, green canvas sling and a side-folding metal
buttstock. With a modern soft case and two extra magazines.
CONDITION: Fine as reactivated/refinished (a small touched up area is present on the left side
of the frame), with 75% plus matte gray phosphate finish, with a number of light scratches,
areas of thinning, high edge wear and some light handling marks. The grips are very good,
with mild scuffs. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a restricted, National Firearms
Act (NFA) Class 3, Fully Automatic Weapon, that is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol,
Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and
27 CFR part 479, National Firearms Act. This weapon is currently registered as being “LIMITED
TO USE AS A SALES SAMPLE (Pre-86)” and as such can only be purchased by an FFL with a
Class 2 or Class 3 SOT License, restriction under 18 U.S.C 922(o) Law Enforcement use for
demonstration, sales samples purposes only.
