Three Barrel Set with
Barrel Inserts and Cases - Serial no. 13858S3,
12 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish,
walnut stock. Manufactured in 1963. Built with
blued Special Steel barrels featuring dual white bead sights on the matted vent rib, light engraving at the upper breech, chokes marked
“**”/”*” (modified/full), and 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. The barrels are fitted to the coin finished action which is engraved in the
Diana Grade pattern with flowing scroll designs surrounding four game scenes depicting a flock of mallards in a marsh on the right, a covey
of pheasant in a wooded scene on the left, a pair of quail on the underside, and a pair of rabbits on the triggerguard all in fine detail with
darkened backgrounds to create contrast. The engraving is signed “R.RISACK” on both sides below the scene for FN engraver Raymond
Risack. The gun features a single gold trigger and tang mounted safety/selector with gold “S”, “O”, and “U” indicators. The gun is fitted with
a beautifully figured and multi-point checkered Lightning forend with engraved fittings and round knob long tang pistol grip stock with
“J/R/H” in the inscription oval and a Browning recoil pad. Included are two matching numbered barrel sets; one 20 gauge measuring 26 1/2
inches featuring modified/full chokes and 3 inch chambers, the other 12 gauge measuring 28 inches with skeet/skeet chokes and 2 3/4
inch chambers. Also included are three sets (20 gauge, 28 gauge, and .410 bore) of barrel inserts with their own ejectors, a
case for the inserts, and a factory Naugahyde Hartmann takedown case for the gun and barrel sets. Barrel measurements
for the extra 20 gauge set (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .612/.613 inches; choke constriction .008/.018
inches; minimum wall thickness .038/.035 inches. Barrel measurements for the extra 12 gauge set (U/O): bore diameter nine
inches from the breech .725/.727 inches; choke constriction .005/.006 inches; minimum wall thickness .029/.029 inches. Barrel
and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .728/.727 inches; choke constriction .020/.038 inches;
minimum wall thickness .028/.027 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/4 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 9 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 98% original blue and coin finishes with minor handling evidence, some freckling of
discoloration in the coin at the top of the action and tang, a few minor scratches on the wood, replaced recoil pad, and crisp checkering
on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. The extra barrel sets are very fine/excellent and the cases are very good/fine.

Belgian Browning 20 Gauge Midas Grade Superposed Skeet Shotgun
- Serial no. 44742V7, 20 gauge, 26 1/2 inch vent rib bbl., blue/gold finish,
walnut stock. Manufactured in 1967. Dual white bead sights on the matted vent rib, standard
markings, wedges scroll engraving at
the breech end, 3 inch chambers with
automatic ejectors, and “**$”/”**$” (skeet/
skeet) chokes. The blued action displays
full coverage scroll engraving on punchdot
background surrounding game bird scenes
showing a trio of pheasant on the left, three
mallards on the right, and a grouse on the
underside. The birds are rendered in fine semi-relief gold inlay with gold inlaid borders around the scenes on
the sides of the action. The piece is signed “GRECO” on both sides of the action at the low rear for FN engraver
Reno Greco. The triggerguard and tangs are engraved with matching scroll and checker board patterns, with
a blank initial shield at the center of the guard. Highly figured, Midas Grade pattern multi-point checkered
Lightning style forend with engraved forend iron and a round knob short tang pistol grip stock with stylized
“W/E/S” marked in the gold inscription oval and Browning recoil pad. Barrel and stock measurements: bore diameter
nine inches from the breech .625/.625 inches; choke constriction .005/.005 inches; minimum wall thickness .034/.037
inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 7 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and gold finishes with limited handling evidence, a few tiny scratches in the wood finish, and sharp checkering on the stock and
forend. Mechanically excellent.
