CONDITION: Fine, retaining 40% plus original blue finish with
the balance a smooth brown-gray patina. There is minor
pitting on the back strap. Patterns of original case colors
remain on the trigger guard and hammer. The grips are
excellent with an attractive appearance and crisp engraving.
Mechanically excellent. B) Smith & Wesson First Model
Schofield Revolver - Serial no. 1484, 45 S&W cal., 7 inch
solid rib bbl., blue finish, silver grips. As described in “A.”
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 70% original blue finish with the balance a smooth
brown patina. There are a few patches of pitting. Patterns of original case colors remain
on the trigger guard and hammer. The grips are excellent with an attractive appearance
and crisp engraving. Mechanically excellent.
