The revolver has two-piece special order deluxe checkered
walnut grips. Features a beaded blade target front sight and
dovetail mounted notch rear sight. The top of the barrel is roll-
stamped with the two-line Hartford legend, with “45 COLT” on
the left of the barrel. The left side of the frame is roll-stamped
with the two-line, three-date patent markings followed by the
encircled Rampant Colt trademark. Matching visible full serial
numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap, with assembly
number “702” on the loading gate. “216” inscribed on the bottom surface of
the left grip panel.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retains 95% plus original bright high polish blue finish
with light muzzle wear, 97% vivid original case colors on the hammer with minor fading
on the top, a mild cylinder drag line, a few light handling marks, and crisp checkering
on the exceptionally fine grips. Mechanically excellent. An exceptional special order
