Excellent World War II U.S. Remington Model 11 Semi-Automatic Riot
Shotgun - Serial no. 453148, 12 gauge, 20 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut
stock. This excellent World War II U.S. Remington Model 11 riot shotgun has an
“OL” July 1942 date code on the left breech area of the original barrel, and features
a single bead front sight, 2 3/4 inch chamber, cylinder choke, and “U.S.” ahead of
flaming bomb proofs on the barrel and receiver, and the receiver has the scenery
on the sides which is seen on many of these military issued examples, with all other
markings being standard. Matching serial number marked on the barrel beneath the forend. Fitted with a checkered forearm and checkered
pistol grip stock with crossed cannons cartouche stamp on the left of the buttstock, and Remington Bakelite serrated buttplate.
Length of pull is 14 inches.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 97% plus original blue finish with a few minor scratches, some minor pitting visible at the right of the muzzle, some
minor surface freckling visible on the bolt and follower, and sharp markings and edges in the metal. Wood is very fine with distinct edges, some scattered light scratches and
dents, a few minor nicks in the otherwise defined checkering, and a crisp cartouche. Mechanically excellent.

Rare World War II U.S. Rock Island Arsenal Inspected Winchester Model 70
Bolt Action Sniper Rifle with Lyman Alaskan Scope - Serial no. 47029, 30-06 Springfield cal., 24 inch round
bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1942. According to page 298 of Rodger Rule’s “The Rifleman’s Rifle” this rifle is one of
just 2,366 Model 70s ordered by the U.S. Government during World War II to be used as long range sniper rifles. The rifle features a ramped hooded beaded blade
front sight, standard Winchester barrel markings, and rear sight dovetail filled with the front Stith mount which holds a Lyman Alaskan 2 1/2x scope. The left side of the barrel and front
receiver ring show Winchester’s “WP” proof mark. The action is marked with the serial number on the right of the front receiver ring and the Winchester trademark on the left. The rear peep sight
holes host the rear of the Stith mount (one screw absent). The rifle is fitted in a straight grain pistol grip stock with multi-point checkering, sling swivels, and checkered steel buttplate. The left side of
the stock ahead of the wrist is stamped with Frank Krack’s boxed “RIA/FK3” Rock Island Arsenal acceptance cartouche, another example of which can be seen on page 298 of Rule’s book. Included is a leather
military pattern sling and a set of leather scope caps.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 85% original blue finish with light handling evidence. The lightly sanded stock is very good with some dings and scratches and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The
front scope mount shows some cold blue touch-ups. Scope optics are clear, reticle is crisp. A great chance to own a scarce Government owned Model 70!

Outstanding U.S. Springfield Armory Type 2 National Match M1 Garand Semi-
Automatic Rifle - Serial no. 5402437, 30-06 Springfield cal., 24 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, walnut
stock. Front sight is marked “NM/062”, rear marked “595” on the aperture hood, “NM” on the shank and windage knob, “NM/2A”
on the right side base, with “NM” marked barrel, gas cylinder, and operating rod. Springfield “3-63” dated barrel with “inverted T”, “PM” and
“DoD eagle” markings, matching partial numbers inside the floor plate and inside the stock barrel channel, Springfield bolt, safety, hammer and
trigger housing, and “7790722-RA” operating rod. The stock is glass bedded, with glued front handguard, Department of Defense stamp on the left
side, circled “P” without serifs on the pistol grip, and checkered trapdoor buttplate.
CONDITION: Excellent plus, as issued, with 99% plus original parkerized finish remaining, scattered light handling marks, and a faint hint of edge wear visible on the
charging handle. The stock is also excellent plus with some small storage dings and crisp markings. Mechanically excellent. It would be difficult, if not impossible to improve on this example.
