Class III/NFA Fully Transferable
Machine Gun, with Matching Box and Accessories - Serial no. C0332, 9
mm cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., matte gray finish, metal stock. Manufactured
c. 1983-1986. Originally manufactured by Smith & Wesson as the Model 76,
which in turn was designed to fill the same niche as the Gustaf M/45 “Swedish
K” SMG, the MK Arms MK760 is a lightweight and agile weapon for close
quarters fighting and, in the initial S&W incarnation, was a go-to weapon for
the American special warfare community in Vietnam.
Brought to market in 1983, the passage of the 1986 Firearm Owners Protection Act killed both the 760 and MK Arms in general,
resulting in a very limited window of transferable production. Protected post front and notch rear sights, with the MK Arms markings
on the magazine well, a combination barrel nut and ventilated heat shield, ambidextrous “SAFE”/”SEMI”/”FULL” selector, and a
checkered pistol grip. A left-folding buttstock with rubberized covering is installed. Included with the lot is a matching numbered MK
Arms box, extra magazine in wrapping, and manual.
CONDITION: Excellent with 98% original matte gray phosphate
finish showing minor scratches and handling marks. The stock
and grip are also excellent. Mechanically excellent. The box
shows minor wear and tear. NOTE: This weapon is a National
Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered
with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives,
