Engraved, and Gold Inlaid Krieghoff .410 Bore
K32 Crown Grade Over/Under Shotgun - Serial
no. 1156, 410 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue/gold
finish, walnut stock. Built with blued Boehler Laufstahl
barrels featuring dual bead sights on the matted
raised vent rib, standard markings, wedges of fine
scroll engraving bordered by gold inlaid lines, 1974
dated German proof marks, and 3 inch chambers with
automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to the blued action which displays highly attractive scroll engraving surrounding a pair of semi-relief
gold inlaid game scenes depicting a fox flushing a trio of mallards on a pond on the left side and a pointer flushing a trio of pheasant cocks on
the right all bordered by gold inlaid linework. The toplever shows a gold inlaid coronet as does the underside of the action just above “Krieghoff/
Model 32” inlaid in gold. Both sides of the action are signed with a small “EB” for German Master Engraver Eric Boessler. The gun features a
single selective gold trigger and a tang mounted manual safety. The gun is fitted with a beautifully figured and multi-point skip-line checkered
beavertail forend with engraved blued iron and a pistol grip stock with black grip cap, Monte Carlo comb, and a Pachmayr Old English recoil pad.
Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .411/.408 inches; choke constriction .006/.007 inches; 1 5/8 inch
drop at comb; 1 7/8 inch drop at heel; 14 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 15 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 98% professionally reapplied finish on the barrels with the balance of the blue original, 99% original gold finish, some pitting on the barrels, loss at
the rear of the action, and repair to the rib near the breech. The wood is also very fine, with a freshened stock, replacement recoil pad, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
