The scenes consist of a pair of grouse in
flight with mountains in the background
on the left lockplate, a pair of pheasant cocks
flushing from cover on the underside, and
another pair of grouse in flight on the
right lockplate. The negative space has
been shaded to give the engraving depth.
This stunning engraving is signed on
the triggerplate “GIAN MARCO SABATTI
INC” by the Italian Master Engraver. The
gun features double triggers, and a tang
mounted manual safety with a gold inlaid “S”
indicator.
The gun is fitted with a gorgeous beautifully
figured and multi-point checkered splinter forend
with matching engraved bright finished iron
including the Anson button release. The straight
hand stock is of the same exceptionally attractive
quality and features the same multi-point flat-top checkering as well as a checkered bare butt.
Included is a maker’s leather flat case with canvas cover and a data sheet for this gun on the interior of the lid. The case contains a nickel oiler, nickel
snap caps, and a compliment of cleaning tools.

weight 6 lbs. 14 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and brushed bright finishes with minimal handling evidence and sharp checkering on the
stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. The case is also excellent. This is a great opportunity to own a gorgeous Italian masterwork without the wait!
