Cylinder & Slide
Incorporated Pathfinder
High Power Semi-Automatic
Pistol - Serial no. 129026, 9
mm cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue/
black finish, hard rubber grips. Introduced c. 2001 by the
Cylinder and Slide Custom Shop of Freemont, Nebraska, the Pathfinder Pistol uses a Browning High
Power as the starting point for a radical series of modifications to reconfigure the famous pistol from a
full sized military sidearm to a compact weapon suitable for concealed carry and personal defense. Most
prominently the dimensions have been greatly reduced, with about a half inch in height and over three
quarters of an inch in total length eliminated, reducing the unloaded weight by nearly three ounces; compared
to a modern compact Glock it’s a bit wider and heavier, but competitive otherwise in dimensions. The internal work is also extensive, with the magazine well
safety disabled, a finely contoured trigger installed, and a bobbed hammer that integrates a “Safety Fast Shooting” (SFS) pattern safety mechanism; instead of the
traditional engagement of the safety lever at full cock, the hammer itself is pushed forward from full cock to a safety notch position where the safety automatically
engages, snapping back to full cock position when the safety is depressed, giving the effective benefits of a “cocked and locked” carry without a protruding hammer
to catch on the wardrobe. A set of Novak three-dot sights have been installed, with a Belgian-made barrel shortened to match the slide, “RDH” slide catch and hammer,
serrated slide top and rear, “PATHFINDER” and the “winged torch” Pathfinder emblem etched on the right side of the slide, “Cylinder & Slide” etched on the frame, fine
texturing on the front of the trigger and gripstraps, a flared magazine well and checkered grips. One magazine is included, a 10-round Mec-Gar with the baseplate
shortened to match the grip frame.
CONDITION: Excellent as upgraded, retains 98% blue and black finish, showing some wear under the safety lever and light handling marks overall. The grips are
excellent, with attractive grain and sharp checkering. Safety needs adjustment, otherwise mechanically functions.
Estimate: 5,000 - 6,500
