takedown case. The inside
of the lid has a paper label for the famed London retailer of Colts and
Winchesters, and the exterior of the lid has the initials “C.V.R.” The case
contains a screwdriver. The Winchester Model 1890 was manufactured in 1904. The rifle is fitted with a dovetail blade front sight, elevation
adjustable notch rear sight and Lyman tang peep sight. There are standard Winchester markings including the factory oval proofs. The
buttplate is casehardened, and the remaining surfaces are blue.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retaining 90% original blue finish with
thinning to brown on the balance. A number of dings are visible on both
sides of the barrel. Patterns of original case colors remain on the buttplate.
The wood is very fine with minor dings and scratches. Mechanically
excellent. B) First Year Production Winchester Model 1903 Semi-
Automatic Rifle - Serial no. 8045, 22 Win auto cal., 20 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1903, the first year of production. Marble tunnel front sight,
elevation adjustable notch rear sight and standard Winchester markings.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 80% plus original blue finish with thinning to brown on the balance. The wood is fine with minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with staining, wear and fading on
the exterior and typical high spot wear on the lining. Most of the London Armory retailer label remains.

World War II Production Winchester Model 61 Slide Action Rifle in .22
W.R.F. Caliber - Serial no. 68307, 22 WRF cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock.
Manufactured in 1943. Beaded blade front and elevation adjustable notch rear sights, with
standard address and caliber markings on the left side and “WP” on top near the breech. The “WP” is
repeated on the receiver, which is marked “BM” and “WRF” on the front, two drilled and tapped holes
on the upper tang, and matching serial numbers
are present on the receiver and frame. 17-groove forearm an smooth pistol
grip stock, with a checkered steel buttplate.
CONDITION: Very fine as rebarreled, with 95% plus original blue finish, showing minor scratches
and dings overall, with cycling wear on the magazine tube. The stock is very fine, with minor
scuffs and dings. Mechanically excellent.

Winchester Model 61 Slide Action Rifle in .22 Short - Serial no. 191712, 22 RF Short cal., 24 inch
round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1953. According to the information on page 39 of “Winchester Slide Action Rifles: Volume II” by Ned
Schwing, the combination of round barrel and .22 Short only caliber was only cataloged in 1947. Beaded blade front and elevation adjustable rear notch sights,
third style barrel inscription, Winchester “WP” proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, smooth round top receiver, matching numbers on the receiver and trigger guard
assembly, and serrated hammer catch and trigger. 17-groove slide handle and smooth pistol grip stock with checkered blue steel buttplate.
CONDITION: Very fine as professionally converted to the round barrel, .22 Short configuration with 98% factory quality blue finish, some mild slide retraction wear on the underside of the slide bar,
scattered light handling marks, and sharp markings. The wood is very good with scattered dings and refinished buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
