American Marksman Armory M60 General Purpose Machine Gun, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable Machine Gun, with Accessories - Serial no.
AMA0064, 308 cal., 21 inch round bbl., matte black finish, synthetic stock. This is an example of the M60 belt fed machine gun that was manufactured
by American Marksman Armory of Roseville, California. Developed in the late 1950s, the M60 was designed as a general-purpose machine gun (GPMG),
a single weapon to replace as many different .30 caliber machine guns in the Army inventory as possible. The M60 was deployed as the chief infantry
machine gun for Vietnam, along with a variety of air, ground, and water vehicle mountings. While other designs started to fill the infantry niche from the
80s onward, the M60 is still a frontline automatic weapon with American and allied armed forces. Blade front and folding ladder rear sights, with a long
bird cage flash hider and folding bipod mounted to the barrel, ribbed and ventilated handguard with carry handle, manufacturer markings on top of
the receiver box (beneath the top cover), ribbed pistol grip and buttstock with flip-up shoulder rest. Included with the lot is one tripod (pintle adapter
included, T&E mechanism absent), an extra barrel, spare parts, and four sealed “repack kits” of links, cardboard liners and canvas bandoliers.
CONDITION: Very fine, with 95% of the factory quality refinished matte black phosphate finish, showing some minor spotting and light handling marks
on the metal and the furniture. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered
with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479.
Estimate: 45,000 - 65,000
