Factory Engraved B. Searcy & Co. Dangerous Game Double Rifle
in .375 Holland & Holland Magnum with Swarovski Scope and Case -
Serial no. C028, 375 H&H magnum cal., 26 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened
finish, walnut stock. Introduced circa 1993. Built with a ramped beaded blade foresight,
three-leaf (one standing, two folding) rear sight on raised rear quarter rib along with a set of
casehardened Talley QD rings holding a Swarovski Z6i 1-6x24 EE scope, front sling eye, a single
band of engraving around the breeches, and chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels
are fitted to the vividly case colored sideplated boxlock action which displays extensive deeply
cut flowing scroll engraving surrounding “B. SEARCY & CO.” signatures inlaid in gold wire on
either side before extending to the toplever, trigger guard, and both tangs. The rifle features
bushed firing pins, double triggers (front is articulated), and a tang mounted manual safety with
gold inlaid “SAFE” indicator. The rifle is fitted with a gorgeous highly figured and multi-point
checkered semi-beavertail forend with casehardened and matching engraved iron as well as a
pistol grip stock with teardrop carved drop points, a casehardened skeleton grip cap, shadowline
cheekpiece, rear sling eye, and a black leather wrapped recoil pad. Includes a B. Searcy & Co.
aluminum takedown case with cover and two snap caps. Length of pull 15 inches.
Weight 11 lbs. 11 oz. (with scope).
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retaining 97% plus professionally restored
blue finish, 99% vivid original case colors on the action, minor handling
marks, slight wear on the recoil pad toe, and sharp checkering on the
stock and forend. Rear sight set screw is absent. Mechanically excellent.
The scope is misaligned, with crisp reticle and sharp optics, electronically
untested. A great chance to own a wonderful American made double rifle!
