fine arms in the world and has done so ever since the company was established in 1812 by the founder Thomas Boss and
continued by the great inventor and gunmaker John Robertson who purchased the firm from the Boss family in 1893.
Robertson patented the first successful single trigger in 1894 and the first successful over/under shotgun design in 1909,
creating the archetype of over/under shotguns. The title of acclaimed author Donald Dallas’ book “Boss & Co.: Builders
