Factory Jacquez Lodewyc Signed, Master Engraved, and Gold Inlaid
Belgian Browning Midas Grade Broadway Trap Superposed Shotgun - Serial no. 5108S9, 12
gauge, 32 inch vent rib bbl., blue/gold finish, deluxe walnut stock. Manufactured in 1969. Built with blued
steel barrels featuring dual white bead sights on the matted vent rib, standard markings, wedges of scroll
engraving at the breech, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and “*”/”*-” (full/improved modified)
chokes. The barrel is fitted to the blued action which displays full coverage scroll engraving on punchdot
background surrounding game bird scenes
showing a trio of pheasants on the left, a
trio of mallards on the right, and a quail
on the underside. The birds are rendered
in fine semi-relief gold inlay with gold inlaid borders around the scenes on the sides of the action. The
engraving is signed “J.LODEWYC” on both sides of the action at the low rear for master factory engraver
Jacquez Lodewyc. The trigger guard and tangs are engraved with matching scroll and checker board
patterns, with a blank initial shield at the center of the guard. The gun is fitted with a highly figured,
Midas Grade pattern multi-point checkered Broadway Trap beavertail forend with engraved iron and a
long tang pistol grip stock with a Browning ventilated buttpad. Barrel and stock measurements: bore diameter
nine inches from the breech .725/.722 inches; choke constriction .025/.037 inches; minimum wall thickness .035/.034
inches; 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 1 9/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% blue and 99% gold finishes with some minor rub wear around the tang safety,
but otherwise limited minor handling evidence and crisp engravings. The wood is also excellent with limited minor
handling evidence, crisp checkering, and attractive grain. Mechanically excellent.

Factory Engraved Belgian Browning .410 Bore Pigeon Grade
Superposed Superlight Shotgun with Original Box and Factory Letter
- Serial no. 357J76, 410 gauge, 26 3/8 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish,
walnut stock. The included factory letter confirms the current Pigeon Grade,
.410 bore chambering, chokes, and Superlight wood (barrels listed at 26 inch)
when it was sold to NBS Jaqua Sporting Goods of Findlay, OH, on May 27,1977.
Built with blued steel barrels featuring a single bead sight on the matted vent rib, chokes
marked “**-”/”**” (improved cylinder/modified), and 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels are fitted to the coin grey finished action which displays
the classic Pigeon Grade near full coverage floral scroll engraving surrounding scenes depicting pigeons in flight on the left and right as well as relief carved oak
leaf and acorn designs carved at the fences. The gun features a single gold washed trigger and tang mounted safety/selector switch with gold inlaid “O”, “U”, and
“S” indicators. The gun is fitted with a nicely figured multi-point checkered Superlight Schnabel tip forend with engraved iron as well as a straight hand Superlight
stock with factory buttplate. Includes the original factory box numbered to the gun. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the
breech .410/.408 inches; choke constriction .010/.015 inches; 1 5/16 inch drop at comb; 2 1/16 inch drop at heel; 14 7/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 7 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. The box is fair.
