Factory Lily Lambert Signed and Engraved Belgian
Browning 20 Gauge Diana Grade Lightning
Superposed Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 43567V7, 20
gauge, 26 1/2 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut
stock. Manufactured in 1967. Built with blued Special Steel
barrels featuring a single nickel bead sight on the matted
vent rib, light engraving at the upper breech, chokes marked
“**-”/”**” (improved cylinder/modified), and 3 inch chambers with ejectors. The barrels are fitted to the coin finished action which is engraved
in the Diana Grade pattern with flowing scroll designs surrounding four game scenes depicting a flock of mallards in a marsh on the right, a
hide of pheasants in a wooded scene on the left, a pair of quail on the underside, and a pair of rabbits on the trigger guard all in fine detail with
matted backgrounds creating contrast. The engraving is signed “L.LAMBERT” on both sides below the scene for FN engraver Lily Lambert. The
gun features a single gold trigger and tang mounted safety/selector with gold “S”, “O”, and “U” indicators. The gun is fitted with what appears to
be a beautifully figured French walnut factory replacement multi-point checkered Lightning forend with engraved iron a straight hand short tang
stock with blank inscription oval and a Browning buttplate. Includes a factory Naugahyde Airways takedown case. Barrel and stock measurements
(U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .621/.623 inches; choke constriction .009/.028 inches; minimum wall thickness .043/.038 inches;
1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 3/16 inch drop at heel; 14 3/16 inch length of pull; slight cast-off; weight 6 lbs. 3 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with minor handling evidence. The wood shows a few minor marks and sharp
checkering. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine.

Factory Bovy and Coenen Signed, Engraved, and Gold
Inlaid Belgian Browning 20 Gauge Midas Grade Lightning
Superposed Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 5906V74, 20 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue/gold finish, walnut stock.
Manufactured 1974. Built with blued steel barrels featuring a single white bead sight on the matted vent rib, standard
markings, wedges scroll engraving at the breech, 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and “*”/”*” (full/full) chokes. The
barrel is fitted to the blued action which displays full coverage scroll engraving on punchdot background surrounding game
bird scenes showing a trio of pheasant on the left, three mallards on the right, and a grouse on the underside. The birds are
rendered in fine semi-relief gold inlay with gold inlaid borders around the scenes on the sides of the action. The engraving is
signed “BOVY” on the left side of the action at the low rear, and “COENEN” on the right for FN engravers Pierre Bovy and Rene Coenen. The trigger guard and tangs are engraved with matching
scroll and checker board patterns, with a blank initial shield at the center of the guard. The gun is fitted with a highly figured, Midas Grade pattern multi-point checkered Lightning forend with
engraved iron and a long tang pistol grip stock with Browning buttplate. Includes a factory Naugahyde Airways takedown case and box. Barrel and stock measurements: bore diameter nine inches
from the breech .621/.620 inches; choke constriction .028/.026 inches; minimum wall thickness .042/.043 inches; 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 3/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 7 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and gold finishes with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. Box and case are fine, with minor wear.
