coverage) floral
scrollwork engraving on the barrel, frame, cylinder, and trigger guard. The revolver is fitted with a pair
of smooth goncalo alves grips with silver S&W medallions. Includes a correct factory hardwood display
case and cleaning tools.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original nickel finish with minor handling evidence, faint
cylinder drag line, and crisp engraving. Mechanically excellent. There is some deterioration in the lid
lining; otherwise, the case is very fine.

1982) factory return date under the left grip as
well as a boxed “R-Bi” factory refinish marking.
Includes a correct factory hardwood display
case and cleaning tools.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retaining
99% factory blue finish, minor handling
evidence, slight cylinder drag line, and
crisp engraving. Mechanically excellent.
The case is very fine.

Outstanding Factory Engraved
Smith & Wesson Model 19-4 Double Action
Revolver - Serial no. 38K2114, 357 Magnum cal., 6
inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured
c. 1978-1979, this is an outstanding example of a factory
engraved Smith & Wesson Model 19-4 revolver. The revolver
shows approximately 75% plus coverage, beautifully executed,
factory floral scroll engraving on a stippled background. The barrel is marked with
the standard Smith & Wesson and caliber markings, while the frame has the Smith
& Wesson trademark and address. The matching full serial number is on the butt
under the grips and on the frame under the crane, while the matching last four
digits in on the barrel in the ejector rod shroud and on the rear face of the cylinder
under the ejector star. The matching assembly number is on the left of the grip frame and the crane. It is
fitted with a ramped Patridge blade front sight, a micrometer adjustable notch rear sight, and a pair of
checkered walnut grips with “S&W” monogram medallions.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 99% plus of the original blue finish with only the slightest handling
marks, a faint cylinder turn line, and crisp engraving. The grips are also excellent with only the slightest
handling marks. Mechanically excellent.

Exceptional George
Sherwood Signed Master Engraved Smith &
Wesson Model 19-5 Double Action Revolver -
Serial no. AVD3668, 357 Magnum cal., 6 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish,
walnut grips. Manufactured c. 1987, this very attractive revolver was
subsequently beautifully engraved by Master Engraver George Sherwood,
who signed his work on the bottom of the ejector rod housing. The sides of
the frame, chambers of the cylinder, barrel at the muzzle and breech,
crane, and ejector rod housing all have well-executed flourishes of
floral scroll engraving. “SHERWOOD ENGRAVER” is marked
on the bottom of the ejector rod housing. The barrel has
the standard Smith & Wesson and caliber markings on
the left and right. The left of the frame has the Smith &
Wesson trademark while the right has the four-
line address. It is fitted with a ramped Patridge
blade front sight, micrometer adjustable notch
rear sight, and a pair of checkered walnut grips
with S&W monogram medallions.
CONDITION: Excellent as professionally
embellished by Master Engraver George
Sherwood, retaining 99% plus of the blue
finish with a faint cylinder turn line and only
the slightest handling marks. The grips are also
excellent with only the slightest handling marks.
Mechanically excellent.
