Magnum cal., 8 inch vent rib bbl., Royal Blue finish, stag grips.
The included factory letter confirms the current .357 Magnum
caliber, 8 inch barrel length, Royal Blue finish, and Class “B” scroll
engraving, grips not listed, when the revolver was shipped with
two others to Outdoor Sports Headquarters Inc. of Dayton,
Ohio, on October 1, 1982. The revolver features a ramp front
and adjustable rear sights, checkered hammer, serrated trigger, and a pair of extended stag
grips with a hardwood spacer. The engraving is beautifully executed nicely accenting the lines
of the revolver. The left side of the grip frame is stamped “COLT ENG” beneath the grip. Includes
an attractive glass topped hardwood display case, an extra pair of Pachmayr Presentation grips with Colt medallions, and the
original factory “wood grain” box with Custom Shop end label listing the engraving.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original Royal Blue finish. Mechanically excellent. The box is good with moderate
wear and the case is very fine.

Excellent, Scarce, and Highly Desirable Three Inch
Barreled Colt Combat Python Double Action Revolver
with Factory Letter and Case - Serial no. T77632, 357
Magnum cal., 3 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips.
Manufactured in 1989, as part of an exclusive 500 revolver
run for Lew Horton Distributing Company of Massachusetts, per page 702 of “Forty-Forth Edition
Blue Book of Gun Values”. The included factory letter confirms the revolver’s configuration, including a
three inch barrel in .357 Magnum caliber, blue finish, and checkered walnut service grips, when sent in a
shipment of four to Simmons Gun Specialties in Olathe, Kansas, on November
22, 1989. Features fixed red-ramped front and adjustable notch rear sights, the two-line
Colt address roll-marked on the right side of the barrel with the two-line
“COMBAT PYHTON” and caliber designation roll-marked on the left of
the barrel, Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame, along with Colt
“triangle/VP” and “V” factory proofs on the left side of the trigger guard.
Fitted with a pair of checkered walnut service grips with silver Colt
medallion inserts. Includes a Colt blue plastic case.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 97% plus original blue finish with a
faint minor cylinder drag line, some minor rub wear on the cylinder,
a few minor handling marks, and crisp roll-marks. The grips are
exceptionally fine with some minor patina on the medallions and
well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent. Overall an attractive
example of the rare three-inch barreled Colt Combat Python
with the factory letter!

Excellent Colt Viper Double Action Revolver - Serial no. 94041M, 38 Special cal., 4 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1977. A limited
number of these revolvers were produced by Colt, with collectors estimating a total less than 4,000. Features fixed blade front and top strap notch rear sights, The one-
line Colt address roll-marked on the right side of the barrel along with the “VIPER” model and caliber designations on the left side, Rampant Colt roll-marked on the
left side of the frame, along with “triangle/VP” and “M” stamped on the left side of the trigger guard. Fitted with a pair of replacement oversized checkered walnut grips
numbered to another revolver.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% bright original blue finish with a faint cylinder drag line, a few minor handling marks, and clear roll marks. The grips are also
excellent with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
