with matted solid rib, ramped blade
front sight, automatic flip up rear
sight and German style claw scope
mount on the raised quarter rib,
extractors, and front sling swivel. The
barrels show fine oak leaf engraving on a matted background
near the breech and bear standard 1980 dated proofs, caliber markings, and
import mark under the forearm. The coin finished action displays beautiful deep
chiseled relief engraved oak leaf patterns bordering game scenes on the left,
right, and underside. The left shows a trio of wild boar on the move in a forested
scene, the right has two stags fighting for the affection of three does in a forested
scene, and the underside shows a pair of mallards in flight over a marsh. Double
trigger, bushed firing pins for the 16 gauge and 30-06 barrels, safety switch at the
top rear of the action, and Krieghoff’s sliding cocking device/selector mounted
on the tang. Beautifully figured, fancy checkered and oak leaf carved forend with
relief engraved fittings and a Deeley latch style release and pistol grip stock contrasting grip cap, raised cheek piece, rear sling
swivel, and checkered Krieghoff buttplate. Includes a leather bound takedown case with canvas and leather cover and is mounted with a Zeiss Diavari-Z 1.5-
6x42mm scope. Length of pull 14 13/16 inches. Weight 9 lbs. 4 oz. including scope.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with limited
handling evidence and sharp engraving. The wood is also excellent with a fine
minor marks and sharp carving and checkering. The scope optics are
sharp. The case is excellent and the cover is
very fine. Mechanically excellent.
