Desirable Factory Engraved Winchester Parker Reproduction 28 Gauge/.410 Bore DHE Grade Double Barrel
Shotgun Three Barrel Set with Case - Serial no. 28-01881, 28 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened
finish, walnut stock. Manufactured between 1983 and 1989 as a faithful reproduction of the beloved Parker shotgun
with just over 12,000 total built of which some 3,500 were 28 gauge. Built with a single brass bead sight on the
matted concave solid rib, chokes marked “MOD”/”FULL”, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels
are fitted to the casehardened action which shows the classic DH grade engraving showing a pointing setter on the
left, a pointer on the right, and a nide of pheasants on the underside along with “PARKER”. The gun features double
triggers and an automatic tang mounted safety. The gun is fitted with a highly attractive beautifully figured and
multi-point checkered beavertail forend with engraved iron as well as a straight hand stock with carved drop points,
blank gold inscription oval, and engraved skeleton buttplate around checkered bare butt. Included are two extra
barrel sets; one is a matching numbered 26 inch 28 gauge barrel with chokes marked “Q1”/”Q2”; the other is a 26 inch
.410 bore set which is not numbered, with its own forend, “0000” frame marking on the lug, 3 inch chambers, and
chokes marked “IMP.CYL”/”MOD”; all barrel sets fit the gun. Also included is a factory case with canvas cover. Barrel
measurements for the extra 28 gauge set (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .554/.553 inches; choke
constriction .004/.008 inches; minimum wall thickness .023/.024 inches. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore
diameter nine inches from the breech .552/.552 inches; choke constriction .016/.039 inches; minimum wall thickness
.026/.025 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs. 12 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and casehardened finishes, minor handling evidence, and
sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. The case and extra barrel sets are also excellent,
with a torn handle.
