Factory Engraved and Gold Inlaid Winchester 20 Gauge Model 23
Double Barrel Shotgun Two Barrel Hunting Set with Case - Serial
no. WBS-138E, 20 gauge, 25 inch solid rib bbl., blue/gold
finish, walnut stock. Built with blued Winchester Proof steel
monoblock barrels featuring a single white bead sight on the
matted concave solid rib which is marked at the base with a
gold “1”, factory markings, 3 inch chambers with automatic
ejectors, chokes marked improved cylinder/modified, and
wedges of scroll engraving at the breech. The barrels are
fitted to the blued boxlock action which displays fine scroll
engraving surrounding relief gold inlaid game scenes
depicting a flushing grouse on the right, a flushing pheasant cock on the left,
and a bust of John Olin’s famous lab, King Buck, with a duck in his mouth on the underside. The gun features a jewelled watertable,
single trigger, manual safety/selector, and “ONE OF 500” on the lower tang. The gun is fitted with a beautifully figured and fleur-de-lis
checkered beavertail forend with engraved iron and a pistol grip stock with blued steel grip cap, blank gold inscription oval, and factory
rubber recoil pad. Included is a second matching numbered and engraved set of 25 1/2 inch 28 gauge barrels with a gold “2” at the
base of the rib, their own forend, 2 3/4 inch chambers, and chokes marked improved cylinder/modified. Also included is a factory leather flat case that houses the set along with two
pairs of snap caps and an oiler. Barrel measurements for set “2” (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .552/.552 inches; choke constriction .006/.016 inches; minimum wall
thickness .031/.032 inches. Barrel and stock measurements for set “1” (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .619/.618 inches; choke constriction .010/.017 inches; minimum
wall thickness .032/.030 inches; drop at the comb 1 7/16 inches; drop at the heel 2 3/8 inches; length of pull 14 1/8 inches; weight 6 lbs. 14 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and gold finishes with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. The extra
barrel set is excellent. The case is very fine.

Factory Engraved Winchester Parker Reproduction 28 Gauge
DHE Grade Double Barrel Shotgun with Case - Serial no.
28-00057, 28 gauge, 26 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened
finish, walnut stock. Manufactured between 1983 and 1989
as a faithful reproduction of the beloved Parker shotgun
with just over 12,000 total built of which some 3,500 were 28
gauge DHE grades. Built with blued steel barrels featuring
a single brass bead sight on the matted solid rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors, and chokes marked “IMP. CYL”/”MOD”. The barrels are
fitted to a casehardened action which shows no frame size, lightning cuts, and the classic DH grade engraving of hunting dogs on either
side and a covey of pheasants on the underside along with “PARKER”. The gun features a single selective trigger and an automatic tang
mounted safety. The gun is fitted with a beautifully figured and multi-point checkered semi-beavertail forend with engraved forend iron as
well as a pistol grip stock with carved drop points, factory grip cap, blank gold inscription oval, and engraved skeleton buttplate around the
checkered butt. Included is a factory takedown case with canvas cover. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameters measured nine
inches from the breech .553/.555 inches; choke constriction .008/.019 inches; minimum wall thickness .021/.018 inches; 1 5/16 inch drop at comb;
2 1/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs. 10 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and casehardened finishes, some minor muting in the case colors, minor handling evidence, a few blemishes in the stock finish,
and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. The case is also excellent.

Factory Engraved Winchester Parker Reproduction DHE Grade
Double Barrel Shotgun Two Barrel Set with Case - Serial no. 12-01367,
12 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock.
About 12,000 manufactured between 1983 and 1989 as a faithful
reproduction of the beloved Parker shotgun, this is one of only 1,800
built in 12 gauge according to page 180 of “The Parker Story” by Gunther,
Mullins, Parker, Price, and Cote. Built with a single brass bead sight on the
matted concave solid rib, chokes marked “IMP.CYL”/”MOD”, and 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels
are fitted to the casehardened receiver which shows the classic DH grade engraving of hunting dogs on either side
and a nide of pheasants on the underside along with “PARKER”. The gun features a single selective trigger and an
automatic tang mounted safety. The gun is fitted with an attractive highly-figured and multi-point checkered beavertail
forend with engraved iron as well as a pistol grip stock with carved drop points, factory grip cap, blank gold inscription oval, and engraved skeletonized buttplate around the checkered bare butt. Includes
an extra 26 inch matching numbered barrel set with 3 inch chambers and chokes marked “Q1”/”Q2”. Also included is a factory leather takedown case with canvas cover and a pair of snap caps. Barrel measurements for the extra set
(R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .734/.734 inches; choke constriction .003/.005 inches; minimum wall thickness .029/.032 inches. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameters measured nine inches from the
breech .734/.733 inches; choke constriction .007/.011 inches; minimum wall thickness .020/.020 inches; 1 5/16 inch drop at comb; 2 3/16 inch drop at heel; 14 5/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs. 6 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 97% plus original blue, 60% original case colors with the balance a fine silver patina on the action, light handling evidence, and crisp checkering on the wood. Mechanically excellent. The
extra barrel set is excellent, and the case is very fine.
