Factory Gino Cargnel Signed and Engraved Belgian Browning Diana Grade Broadway Trap Superposed Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 1392S71,
12 gauge, 30 inch vent rib bbl., blue/French grey finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1971. Built with blued Special Steel barrels featuring a single
nickel bead sight on the matted Broadway Trap rib, light engraving at the upper breech, chokes marked “**”/”*” (modified/full), and 2 3/4 inch chambers
with ejectors. The barrels are fitted to the coin finished action which is engraved in the classic Diana Grade pattern with flowing foliate scroll designs
surrounding four game scenes depicting a flock of mallards in a marsh on the right, a nide of pheasants in a wooded scene on the left, a pair of quail on
the underside, and a pair of rabbits on the trigger guard all fantastically executed. The engraving is signed “G.CARGNEL” on the right side below the scene for highly sought after FN engraver Gino Cargnel. The gun
features a single gold trigger and tang mounted safety/selector with gold “S”, “O”, and “U” indicators. The gun is fitted with a beautifully figured multi-point checkered beavertail forend with engraved iron and a
short tang flat knob pistol grip stock with a Browning buttplate. Includes a factory Naugahyde Airways takedown case. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .723/.724
inches; choke constriction .015/.036 inches; minimum wall thickness .035/.040 inches; 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 1 9/16 inch drop at heel; 14 7/16 inch length of pull; slight cast-off; weight 8 lbs. 8 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and French grey finishes with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine.

bead sights on the matted Broadway Trap
vent rib, standard markings, wedges scroll
engraving at the breech, “**”/”*” (modified/full) chokes, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic
ejectors. The blued action displays full coverage scroll engraving on punchdot background surrounding
game bird scenes showing a trio of pheasant on the left, three mallards on the right, and a grouse on the underside. The birds are rendered in fine semi-relief
gold inlay with gold inlaid borders around the scenes on the sides of the action. The trigger guard and tangs are engraved with matching scroll and checker board patterns, with a
blank initial shield at the center of the guard. The piece is signed “ARNO” on both sides of the action at the low rear and “LVRANCKEN” below the left scene for FN engraver Arno and Master Engraver Louis
Vrancken. The gun features a single gold trigger and a tang mounted safety/selector with gold inlaid “O”, “U”, and “S” indicators. The gun is fitted with a beautiful highly figured Midas Grade pattern multi-
point checkered forend with engraved forend iron as well as a long tang pistol grip stock with a Pachmayr White-Line recoil pad. Includes an extra matching numbered 26 3/8 inch barrel set which features
its own forend, dual bead sights, 2 3/4 inch chambers, and “**$’/”**$” (skeet/skeet) chokes. Barrel measurements for the extra set (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .723/.730 inches; choke
constriction .003/.008 inches; minimum wall thickness .032/.028 inches. Barrel and stock measurements: bore diameter nine inches from the breech .725/.727 inches; choke constriction .017/.039 inches;
minimum wall thickness .038/.036 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 1 13/16 inch drop at heel; 13 3/4 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs.
