Factory R. Dewil and “LC” Double Signed and Master
Game Scene Engraved Belgian Browning High Power Olympian Grade Bolt Action Rifle in
.458 Winchester Magnum - Serial no. 62929L71, 458 Win Mag cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue/French gray finish, deluxe walnut stock.
Manufactured in 1971, featuring a hooded and brass-beaded ramped blade front and folding adjustable notch rear sights, the importer
mark and a Liege proof on the left side for the barrel with the caliber designation and a matching serial number on the right side, a gold-washed
trigger, along with a Belgian “lion/PV” proof and matching partial serial number on the bright bolt handle. The French grayed action displays elaborate
floral scroll patterned relief engravings contrasted with darkened backdrops, including game scenes of a rhino on the right side of the receiver ring, an
elephant on the left of the receiver ring, and a cape buffalo running through Safariland on the underside of the floorplate, with all three signed “R.DEWIL”
for FN Master Engraver Rene Dewil, along with a further game
scene of a male lion on the underside of the trigger guard
signed “LC”. Fitted in a highly figured pistol grip walnut stock
with rosewood forend tip and grip cap, fancy floral carving
in the finely checkered grip panels, engraved coin recoil lug,
raised cheekpiece, sling studs, and a factory recoil pad.
CONDITION: Excellent overall as factory master embellished,
retaining 99% original blue and French gray finishes with
limited minor handling evidence and crisp contrasted
engravings. The stock is also excellent with detailed and crisp
checkering, a few minor handling marks, and eye-catching
fiddle back patterned grain. Mechanically excellent.

Belgian Browning High Power Olympian Grade Bolt Action Rifle in .300 Winchester Magnum - Serial no. 60013L70,
300 Win magnum cal., 22 inch round bbl., blue/French gray finish, deluxe walnut stock. Manufactured in 1970 without iron sight
provisions, featuring the importer mark on the left side for the barrel with the caliber designation, a Liege proof, and a matching serial number on the
right side, a gold-washed trigger, along with a Belgian “lion/PV” proof and matching partial serial number on the bright bolt handle. The French grayed
action displays elaborate floral scroll patterned relief engravings contrasted with darkened backdrops and game scenes of an elk on the right side of the receiver ring, a bull
moose on the left of the receiver ring, a standing bear on the underside of the trigger housing signed “R. GRECO” for FN Master Engraver Reno Greco, along with a further game
scene of a mountain lion on the underside of the floorplate. Fitted
in a highly figured pistol grip walnut stock with rosewood forend tip
and grip cap, fancy floral carving in the finely checkered grip panels,
engraved coin recoil lug, raised cheekpiece, sling studs,
and a factory recoil pad.
CONDITION: Excellent overall as factory master embellished, retaining
98% plus original blue and French gray finishes with limited minor
handling evidence, some limited freckling near the bolt release and
crisp contrasted engravings. The stock is also excellent with detailed
and crisp checkering, some limited minor handling evidence, and
highly figured grain. Mechanically excellent.
