Jeff Flannery Engraved and Gold Plated German
Mauser “1937” Date “S/42” Code Luger Semi-
Automatic Pistol with Engraving Certificate and
Holster - Serial no. 8376p, 9 mm Luger cal., 4 inch
round bbl., gold finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in
1937, and subsequently extensively embellished by
Jeffery W. Flannery of Jeff Flannery Gun Engraving Co.,
per the included certificate engraving (which lists the
pistol’s serial number as “0376” likely in error) dated April 23, 2021. Features fixed
blade front and toggle notch rear sights, “1937” date on top of the chamber, “S/42”
code on the toggle link, drooped wing “eagle/63” proofs on the extension, and “eagle”
firing proofs on the extension and breech block. Matching visible serial numbers
present on the frame, barrel, and extension, along with matching “76” partial serial
numbers on smaller components. The pistol also features full coverage extensive
wavy floral motif patterned engravings with zig-zag bordering, including engraved
embellishments on several exterior small parts including the toggles, trigger,
and side plate, along with a 24 karat gold pated finish on most all of
the metal components except for a few springs and small
internal parts. Fitted with a pair of un-numbered checkered
walnut grips and a gold plated “122” code and “eagle/37”
proofed magazine with non-matching numbered aluminum
base. Includes a “dta/42” code, “eagle/swastika/WaA195” proofed, and
“P.08” marked brown leather flap holster.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine as embellished by Jeff Flannery, retaining 99% of the
24 karat gold plating with some faint pitting, some minor handling marks, some minor cycling wear, a few small specs of
freckling on the unplated steel parts, some softened original Mauser markings, and crisp engravings. The replacement grips are very fine with some light
compression wear to the otherwise well-defined checkering. The magazine follower does not engage the breech block catch, otherwise mechanically
functions. The holster is very fine.

John Martz Custom Krieghoff Baby
Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol with Extra
Magazine - Serial no. 238N, 9 mm cal., 2
3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Operating out
of his home workshop in California, John Martz is best known
for his alterations and upgrades of Luger and P.38 pistols, all
of which are performed by him and often took several months
of work. Working with all manner of military, police and
commercial Lugers as a base, the Baby Luger features
a short barrel, in conjunction with a frame that has
been cut and reshaped to give the signature
Luger grip profile in a more compact form. This
particular Baby Luger draws components from a
Luftwaffe contract Heinrich Krieghoff & Company
Luger, one of the less common German military
variants and rarely seen in Martz’s work. Blade
front and notch rear sights, with a
blank chamber, a struck out and
restamped “droop wing
eagle/2” proof on the
breechblock, and the
Krieghoff “H(anchor) K”
logo on the front toggle
link. The “droop eagle/2” is
repeated on the toggle links,
with “JVM” and “160” in ovals on the frame
beneath the side plate. Fitted with a set of checkered fancy walnut grips and two
matte gray finished nickel base magazines, both shortened to match the frame and marked “1/JVM” and “2/JVM”
on the bases.
CONDITION: Very good as professionally upgraded to current configuration by John Martz with 98% plus blue
finish, showing some light handling marks overall, bright straw and niter blue finish on the small components, and
attractive color and sharp grain on the grips. A few patches of rough spotting are present on the “2” magazine.
Mechanically excellent.

Desirable Cased Factory Engraved Belgian Browning Renaissance
Semi-Automatic Pistol Set -A) Belgian Browning Renaissance High-
Power Pistol - Serial no. 69C444, 9 mm Parabellum cal., 4 3/4 inch round
bbl., French grey/gold finish, pearlite grips. Manufactured in 1969,
cased with “B” and “C” Each of the three pistols in the set feature fixed
blade front and notch rear sights, standard manufacturer markings with
import marks on the slides, gold plated triggers, along with extensive
relief cut floral Renaissance pattern engravings with darkened backdrops
across most of the frames and slides. The “A” pistol is Liege proofed. Each
pistol is also fitted with a pair of Nacrolac Pearl grips and a French grey
magazine. Includes is a factory black leatherette Browning display case
with red felt interior that houses the entire set.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% plus original French grey finish and
95% plus gold plating with some scattered minor specs of oxidation/
discoloration, some limited minor handling evidence, and crisp
engraving. The grips are also excellent with some limited handling
evidence. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with some light
edge wear. B) Belgian Browning Renaissance Model 1955 Pistol -
Serial no. 525154, 380 ACP cal., 3 1/2 inch round bbl., French grey/gold
finish, pearlite grips. Manufactured in 1965, with Belgian “star/U” and
“lion/PV” proofs. As described in “A”.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original French grey finish and
gold plating on the trigger with a few faint handling marks and crisp
engraving. The grips are also excellent with some limited handling
evidence. Mechanically excellent. C) Belgian Browning Renaissance
Baby Pistol - Serial no. 351295, 25 ACP cal., 2 1/8 inch round bbl.,
French grey/gold finish, pearlite grips. Manufactured in 1966, with
Belgian “star/U” and “lion/PV” proofs. As described in “A”.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% plus original French grey finish and
97% plus gold plating on the trigger with a few small minor oxidation
marks and crisp engraving. The grips are very fine with some scratches.
Mechanically excellent.
