Marlin Model 93 Lever Action Rifle - Serial no. 1569, 32-40 cal.,
26 inch octagon bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured c.
1922 to 1924, this is an outstanding example of an inter-war period Marlin rifle that was
produced during the company’s short stint as the Marlin Firearms Corporation. The Model 1893, or Model
93 as Marlin began calling it around 1920, was part of a triple threat in their lineup, which featured three
virtually identical rifle models, one for mid sized rifle calibers, one for pistol calibers, and one for large rifle
calibers, these being the Model 1893, 1894, and 1895 respectively.
This example is marked with the two-line Marlin Firearms Corp. address and patent dates, as well as the
caliber marking at the breech. The upper left flat is marked with the special smokeless steel marking. The top
of the frame has the Marlin Safety marking, the model marking is on the upper tang, and the serial number is
on the bottom front of the receiver. It is fitted with a Lyman beaded blade front sight and an elevation adjustable
“Rocky Mountain” notch rear sight. It is mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 97% plus of the factory refinished blue finish and 85% of the original case colors, remaining vibrant
on the receiver, a few scattered patches of light pitting, the grey patina on the balance. The wood is very fine with some scattered
minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.

German silver “Rocky Mountain” type blade front sight, a elevation adjustable “Rocky Mountain Buckhorn” type rear sight, and a Lyman No. 1 combination peep sight on the upper tang. It
