R. Dewil Signed and Master Engraved Belgian Browning 20 Gauge Pointer Grade
Superposed Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 30353V3, 20 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue/ coin finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1963. Blued Special Steel barrels with dual steel bead
sights on the matted vent rib, standard Browning markings, light band of engraving at the upper
breech, chokes marked “**-”/”**”, and 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The coin finished boxlock action displays
beautiful floral scroll engraving surrounding four individual game scenes on the left, right, underside, and triggerguard. The left shows a pointer holding a mallard in its
mouth in a pond scene, the right has a pointer grasping a pheasant in a field, the underside shows a pair of bedded grouse, and the triggerguard has a pair of pheasants.
The work is signed “R.DEWIL” on the left side for Browning Master Engraver Rene Dewil. The gun features a gold plated single trigger and tang mounted manual safety/
selector switch. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and round knob pistol grip stock with ventilated rubber Browning recoil pad. Includes a
Browning Naugahyde takedown case. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both measure .615 inches; choke constriction .001/.001 inches;
minimum wall thickness .033/.034 inches; 1 5/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 3/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 7 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% plus original blue and coin finishes, minor handling evidence, slight rub ahead of the forend, some scattered handling marks on the wood, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The case is excellent. Mechanically excellent.

Factory Crousse Signed Master Engraved and Gold Inlaid
Belgian Browning Superposed Midas Grade Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 81355S7, 12 gauge, 30 inch vent rib bbl., blue/gold
finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1967. Dual
white bead sight on the matted Broadway trap vent
rib, standard markings, wedges scroll engraving at
the breech end, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic
ejectors, and modified/full “**/*” chokes. The blued action displays full coverage scroll engraving on punch dot background surrounding game bird scenes
showing a trio of pheasant on the left, three mallards on the right, and a quail on the underside. The birds are rendered in fine semi-relief gold inlay with gold inlaid borders around the scenes. The receiver
is signed “ACROUSSE” on the left hand side at the rear. The triggerguard and tangs are engraved with matching scroll and checker
board patterns and a blank initial shield at the center of the guard. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and a pistol grip stock with
ventilated Browning recoil pad. Includes a factory Naugahyde takedown case with “W. E. FAIRBANKS SR.” marked on the lid along with an address. There is no information on W. E.
Fairbanks available, however, the consignor indicates a relation to famous actor and American war hero Douglas Fairbanks Jr. Barrel and stock measurements: bore diameter nine
inches from the breech .727/.724 inches; choke constriction .020/.036 inches; minimum wall thickness .035/.037 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 1 5/8 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch
length of pull; weight 7 lbs 15 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% plus original blue and gold finishes, minor handling evidence, and a slight rub ahead of the forend. The wood is very fine with some scattered pressure dents and scratches as well as overall sharp checkering. The case is fine. Mechanically excellent.
