Cased Winchester Model 37 “Bridger” Shoulder Line Throwing
Gun with ATF Exemption Letter and Accessories - NSN, 45-70 cal.,
14 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. The barrel is marked, “LINE
GUN-45-70 BLANK ONLY-” with Winchester manufacturer markings,
and also has the markings of Bridger Naval Co. which was located in
Doylestown, Pa., who attached the cord canisters, brass rods, etc. This
is the “BRIDGER” made using a Winchester Model 37 as a base. The left
side of the action and the rope canister name plate are both marked
“E147”. Included with the gun is a carrying case for the line gun and
all accessories, a box of blank .45-70 cartridges (good), three spools of
rope, three wooden dowels, three blunt projectiles, a bottle of Hoppes
cleaning solution, and cleaning patches. Also included is a 1994 dated
ATF letter stating that this line throwing device is not a “firearm” per the NFA but remains one under 18 U.S.C.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 97% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks and some oxidation on the line canister. Mechanically excellent. Case is fine with storage and handling marks, and scattered dents.

Three-line W.R.A. Co./made in
U.S.A. trademark information on the sides of the carriage. The top of the cannon has the caliber with the left side having the three-line Bellmore-Johnson Tool Co. marking. Includes a wooden shipping crate with Winchester trade marks, bore brush and tamping rod.
CONDITION: Very fine with an attractive patina on the brass, some oxidation at the breech and frosting on the trunnions. Crate is very fine with storage and handling marks as well as a cracked board. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,500

Large Round Winchester- Western Sign with Hanging Bracket - This 38 inch diameter round Winchester-Western sign has the “Winchester Rider” logo on a black background with
a red and white border. It is
marked “WINCHESTER/Western”
on both sides. Comes with a
wrought iron wall bracket that is
approximately 42 inches long.
CONDITION: Excellent, there are some scattered minor nicks and scratches along with some areas of minor discoloration. The hanging bracket is very good with some areas of oxidation and flaking paint.

Highly Attractive Winchester Shotgun Shell Die Cut Advertising Sign -
Dating to circa 1910, this is a very interesting piece of Winchester advertising history. Specifically advertising for Winchester shot shells, three different product line head stamps are shown: Leader, Repeater, and Nublack. The sign shows ten shells surrounding a spaniel about to flush a pair of quail under “WINCHESTER/SHOTGUN SHELLS/LOADED WITH/BLACK & SMOKELESS POWDERS./SOLD HERE”. The sign measures about 7x12 inches.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine overall, showing some minor discoloration at the top edge, a few minor scuffs, and a tiny tear at the bottom.

Winchester 10 Gauge Signal Cannon with Wooden Crate and Shells - Serial no. S002639, 10 ga blank. Produced by the Bellmore-Johnson Tool Company under license from Olin Corp. Marked for 10 gauge blanks only and a matching finished “W.R.A.Co.” marked carriage. 6 1/2 inches wide and 11 1/2 inches long. Includes a Winchester marked wooden crate and a box of 24 Winchester Western Upland black powder blanks.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus refinished black finish with some dimpling in the paint and storage and handling marks.
