Winchester Model 21 Double Barrel Trap Shotgun - Serial no. 28204, 12 gauge, 32 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Blued Winchester Proof Steel barrels with dual bead sights on the matted vent rib, standard Winchester markings, chokes marked “FULL”/”IMP.-MOD.”, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The blued boxlock action is marked “TRAP” on the triggerplate and features a gold washed single selective trigger and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered beavertail forend with rotary latch release and pistol grip stock with blued steel grip cap
and checkered polymer Winchester buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter
nine inches from the breech both measure .733 inches; choke constriction .039/.020 inches; minimum wall thickness .024/.028
inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at heel; 14 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs 15 oz. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 95% plus original blue finish with minor handling evidence and areas of minor spotting. The stock is revarnished with residue, a few tiny
scratches, and crisp checkering. Mechanically functions but needs work as ejectors do not remove cases. Estimate: 4,000 - 6,000

Pigeon Grade Skeet
Slide Action Shotgun with Factory Letter and
Original Box - Serial no. 1948773, 12 gauge, 26 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1964. The factory letter confirms the “Pigeon Skeet” grade, barrel, 1C engraving pattern with gold inlaid dogs, recoil pad, and that it was shipped to Abercrombie & Fitch. Red bead front and steel bead mid sights on the three pin duckbill rib with 2 3/4 inch chamber,
standard barrel markings, Winchester “WP” proofs on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech, and “WS-1” marked choke. Matching serial numbers on the receiver and barrel collar. The receiver is engraved in the factory 12-1C pattern with fine scroll surrounding gold inlaid hunting dogs on the sides. The magazine tube is engraved with a pigeon. The bolt and lifter are brilliantly factory jewelled. Fancy diamond pattern checkered extension forearm and pistol grip buttstock with a leather faced solid rubber recoil pad. The stock measurements are: 1 5/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/4 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull. With original box “PIGEON” and “SPECIAL” ink stamps on the end label. CONDITION: Near new in box. 99% plus original blue/gold inlaid finish remains with some light handling marks, sharp engraving, some light dings on the wood, and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very fine with some corner and edge wear and light storage marks. Estimate: 6,500 - 9,500

Documented Exquisite John Kusmit Signed Master Engraved Winchester Model 42 Slide Action Skeet Shotgun with Pauline Muerrle Letter - Serial no. 143325, 410 gauge, 26 inch vent rib bbl.,
blue finish, fancy checkered walnut stock. Manufactured in 1957 and subsequently
master upgraded to current configuration. This shotgun features an engraved wooded hunting scene on each side of the receiver flanked by floral scroll engraving. The left side
has two hunting dogs and a pair of quail, and a hunting dog and quail on the right side.
There is a wedge of light scroll engraving on the breech sides of the barrel and on the trigger guard. The scene on the left of the receiver is signed
“J.KUSMIT” for John Kusmit who was a master engraver for Winchester in the 1950s and 1960s. Matte solid rib with fluorescent front sight, 3 inch chamber, and choke marked “SKEET”. The top of the receiver is also finished matte blue. The left side of the barrel is marked with the two line address, Winchester trade mark, model, gauge, chamber and choke information. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the receiver and takedown ring. Jeweled bolt and follower and mounted with extra fancy fleur-de-lis checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with plastic Winchester grip cap and buttplate. Length of pull is 14 3/8 inches. Includes a letter of authentication from Winchester factory engraver Pauline Muerrle stating this Model 42 was engraved in a No. 5 pattern by Winchester factory engraver John Kusmit and the engraving occurred outside the factory. CONDITION: Extremely fine as upgraded to current configuration, retains 98% plus of the high gloss custom blue finish with a few scattered spots of light pitting visible underneath and the recut markings and engraving mostly crisp. The highly figured custom wood is very fine with minimal handling evidence and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,500 - 5,500
