Exceptional Winchester Model 37 .410 Single Shot Shotgun with Factory Box and Hang Tag - NSN,
410 gauge, 28 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock.
Introduced in 1936 and produced in
the desirable 410 gauge, this model was developed in the low priced, single barrel, exposed hammer shotgun market. The barrel is marked on the right side
with the two line address and patent pending marks followed by “-MODEL 37-STEELBILT-410-3
IN.” followed by the trade mark and “CHOKE”. The number “4” is marked on the upper tang beneath the toplever. It features a single bead sight, 3 inch chamber, auto ejector
and choked full with a 14 inch length of pull. It has a plain forearm and pistol grip stock with a black plastic checkered Winchester buttplate. It may have never been used. This model was discontinued in 1963 after slightly over 1,000,000 were sold. Complete with factory box and hang tag. CONDITION: Near new in box with minor handling/storage marks and a small scratch under the break lever. Estimate: 1,800 - 2,500
trigger and automatic tang safety. Smooth walnut beavertail forend and pistol grip stock with solid red Winchester marked recoil pad. Stock measurements: 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 1/4 inch drop at heel; 13 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs 9 oz. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 90% original blue finish, muted case colors on the trigger plate, scattered minor spotting, and some thinning blue in areas. There is a crack along the left side of the forend and at the back of the upper tang, otherwise the refinished wood is very good. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,500

Pre-World War II Winchester Model 21 Side by Side Shotgun - Serial no. 1418, 12 gauge, 30 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. 2 3/4 inch chambers with extractors, Winchester “WP” proofs on the flats, and “MOD./FULL” marked chokes. Standard markings and proofs on the water table with double triggers and tang mounted
manual safety. Checkered walnut splinter forearm and pistol grip stock. Stock
measurements: drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 1/2 inches; length of pull 14 inches. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 90% plus of the bright original blue finish, light handling evidence,
and a small nick near the left muzzle. The slightly shortened buttstock is very fine with a deteriorated Hawkins recoil pad, scattered scratches, a small chip from the left side of the forend, and sharp checkering.
Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,500

Early Production Three Digit Serial Number “322” Winchester Model 40 Semi-Automatic Shotgun - Serial no. 322, 12 gauge, 28 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured from 1940 to 1941 with approximately 12,000 guns sold. The Winchester Model 40 was the company’s second attempt to break into the auto loading shotgun market. Standard markings and features including the 2 3/4 inch chamber marking and the “MOD” choke marking. Smooth, non-checkered walnut pistol grip stock. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 14 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs 5 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 90% plus original blue, scattered light scratches, and light handling evidence. The wood is has a crack on either side of the wrist; otherwise, it is very fine with scattered scratches. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,600 - 2,500

Documented Pre-Production Serial Number “2” Winchester Model 24 Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 2, 12 gauge, 30 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1938, the year before the Model 24 went into full production and two years before it was offered for retail sale. This Model 24 is identified by serial number in Ronald W. Stadt’s “Winchester Shotguns and Shotshells” on page 127: “Serial number 2 was an experimental gun with single selective trigger and automatic ejectors.” Blued steel barrels with single steel bead sight, no markings on the barrels beside the “MOD” and “FULL” markings on the undersides, and chambers measured 2 5/8 inches with ejectors. The blued hammerless action is unadorned aside from the serial number “2” on the underside and features a single selective
