Excellent Beretta/Knight’s Armament Model 92F Silenced Semi- Automatic Pistol -A) Slide Lock Equipped Beretta Model 92F Pistol - Serial no. BER052200Z, 9 mm cal., 5 1/4 inch round bbl., black finish, plastic grips. Manufactured in
America by Beretta U.S.A., this Beretta Model 92F Pistol has been modified to work in conjunction with the Knight’s Armament “Snap-On” silencer
(described in B). Originating in the 1970s, the base design was destined for the U.S. military, with an emphasis on special forces operations. The intention was to make a weapon that would be as close as possible to absolutely silent,
while still able to work as a close-in defensive weapon if stealth failed. Chief among the intended targets for the pistol was enemy sentries and guard
dogs, the latter of which led to the nickname given to the weapon: the “Hush Puppy”. Starting with a typical Model 92F, an unrifled extension has been installed on the barrel, which is compatible with the silencer’s spring-loaded mounting gear. The slide is notched twice on the underside, and mounted
to the frame is a one-piece steel yoke. This yoke, which is hinged at the front of the frame and bears against a specially extended takedown mechanism,
controls the motion of the slide; when down, the pistol cycles as normal, but flipping it up firmly locks the breech closed. When engaged the mechanical
noise is limited to the hammer and trigger, and the discharge gases are left with nowhere to go but forward into the silencer. In essence, the pistol operates as
a spring-assisted straight pull repeater in this firing mode, and the operator can either wait before reloading (in case the sound of cycling might be an
issue), or quickly disengage the yoke, rack the slide, and reengage for a reasonably quick follow-up shot. A matching partial serial number is scribed into the underside of the barrel locking block, with a full matching number on the yoke; otherwise, markings are standard. Among the included accessories are 10 extra magazines, a case for the included silencer, and a
number of spare silencer parts, including nine boxed
Knight’s “encapsulator” wipe assemblies.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 95% plus original black
finish, showing some mild edge wear and light handling
marks concentrated around the takedown mechanism. The grips are also
excellent, with some light dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
B) Knight’s Armament Snap-On Silencer, Class III/NFA - Serial no.
BER052200Z, 9 mm. Also known as the XM-9 in military service, the Snap-
On suppressor is designed with a spring loaded quick mounting system
compatible with the Beretta in this lot and is fitted with a bead front and
notch rear sight set on top of the tube, as the Snap-On comes up high enough to obstruct the standard sights. A relatively early design, the Snap-On uses rubber wipes to contain waste gas, with the bullet punching through the wipes on the way through. For ease of use in the field, the expendable components are all contained in a single module, which can be rapidly removed and replaced. About 2/3rds of the interior of the silencer acts as a single expansion chamber. Dimensions are 5 1/2 inches long and 1 1/2 inches in diameter, with “MFG. BY KNIGHT’S ARMAMENT CO./VERO BEACH, FL./9MM SNAP-ON/SER. NO. BER052200Z” marked on the tube, matching the pistol.
CONDITION: Excellent, showing mild wear and handling marks on the body. The installed wipes have been shot through and are fine. NOTE: This Silencer is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478. Further, per the definitions given in the 1986 Firearm Owner’s Protection Act, the “encapsulator” modules included in A could qualify as parts intended only for use in assembling a silencer; please be aware of this nuance in the law before bidding. Estimate: 6,500 - 9,500

Documented U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division Issued SIG Sauer M17 Semi-Automatic Pistol with Box - Serial
no. TF05868, 9 mm para cal., 4 1/2 inch round bbl., coyote tan finish,
polymer grips. In January 2017 it was announced that SIG Sauer had won the highly
competitive U.S. Military Modular Handgun System (MHS) contract to replace the Beretta M9 as the standard U.S. military sidearm, and later that year the U.S. Army announced the 101st and 82nd Airborne divisions were to be the first units to receive the M17. Offered here is one of the first pistols issued to the101st Airborne Division for field testing. Only 3,000 of these pistols were returned to SIG Sauer for sale on the commercial market. The introduction of the M17 marked the beginning of the end to the M9’s service with the U.S. Armed Forces that originated in the late 1980s when it replaced the Colt M1911A1. If the service life of the M1911A1 and M9 are any indication to the longevity of the standard U.S. military handgun, it will be decades before we see a round of rigorous testing to replace the M17, making this early U.S. Army example issued to the famed 101st Airborne Division a historic piece of military hardware of the modern era that will only gain more collector interest in the future. The M17 is a variant of the SIG 320 modular pistol and integrates an
ambidextrous thumb safety to the modular fire control unit, with illuminated night sights, optics mounting point on the slide, “+P” weight recoil spring, and coyote tan metal and polymer finish. The grip unit is marked size “M”. The shipping box is a numbered match to the pistol and identifies it as “UDM17-9-SURPLUS” and contains two extra magazines, a standard weight recoil spring, cable lock, and papers. Per the included certificate, this pistol was part of the initial deployment of the U.S. M17 MHS Pistol in American service. An included Freedom of Information Act letter states this pistol was shipped from SIG Sauer to the Army General Supply and from there to Fort Campbell where it was issued to D Company, 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. Formed in 1918, the 101st Airborne Division has established a long and historic legacy that has made it one of the U.S. Army’s premier units. Its “Screaming Eagle” insignia is instantly recognizable by friend and foe alike. The 101st is renowned for its WWII airborne operations role leading up to the Allied assault at the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944, and during Operation Market Garden and action taken during the Battle of the Bulge. During the Vietnam War the 101st participated in 12 campaigns and fought in major battles such as the Battle of Hamburger Hill and the Battle of Fire Support Base Ripcord, the last major confrontation between U.S. ground forces and the PAVN. Over the last 20 years, the 101st was actively involved in American operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria. Headquartered at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, the 101st remains one of the U.S. Army’s leading land combat forces. CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 95% original coyote tan finish on the slide, handling marks, and high edge wear associated with rigorous military testing by the 101st. As is typical with the surplus pistols, the slide does not always completely return to battery, but the pistol is otherwise mechanically excellent. A rare opportunity to purchase one of these bona fide, as-issued U.S. Military M17 semi-automatic pistols! Estimate: 3,000 - 5,000
