Fine Engraved Westley Richards Mauser Action Bolt Action Rifle in .425 Magnum Express - Serial no. 43054, 425 Magnum Express cal.,
25 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1954 per the “FB/1” proof. This barrel features a raised matted ramped beaded blade front sight and single matted standing leaf rear sight marked for 150 yards on a finely engraved raised block, signed “WESTLEY RICHARDS” with a band of light engraving at the muzzle and a flourish coming off either side of the maker’s mark. The receiver features an engraved “WESTLEY RICHARDS/425 MAG. EXPRESS” caliber marking on the left side of the front ring as well as beautifully executed full coverage floral scroll engraving. The trigger guard and magazine floorplate are engraved to match, including the casehardened rotating magazine release and hand stippled trigger. The receivers mounted in a
beautifully figured multipoint checkered walnut stock with horn nose cap and grip cap, shadowline cheekpiece, casehardened and engraved crossbolt and diamond shaped screw escutcheon, sling eye mounted on the buttstock and the other on the bottom of the barrel, and Old English solid recoil pad. Included with the rifle is a leather sling. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 97% plus custom blue finish with scattered light handling marks, an attractive plum color to the bolt handle and crisp engraving. The stock is very fine as well with scattered light dings and scratches and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 6,500 - 9,500
rib which is marked “WAFFEN - WIRNHIER” as well as “KAL. 6.5X57 / NR. 26” and standard German proofs. The coin finished falling block action displays deeply cut floral scroll engraving
on a matted background surrounding a pair of game scenes (one on either side). The left side shows a roaring red stag in a forested scene, and the right side shows a chamois standing in
an alpine scene. The engraving continues on the action lever and upper tang with the lower tang
being clear aside from the signature “G.JOH.EISBACHER”. Eisbacher was a master engraver in Ferlach,
Austria, and other examples of his work appear in the book “Waffengravuren Ferlacher Meister” by Friedrich Goldschmidt-Kunstlerische. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend and pistol grip stock with engraved coin finished gripcap, coin cartridge trap in stock with scroll and roebuck engraving and a “KM” monogram, and a horn buttplate. Includes a leather bound case, leather sling, and importation form. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes, limited handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The case is very fine. Scope optics are sharp. Westley Richards Mauser Action Takedown Bolt Action Rifle in .318 Westley Richards with Case - Serial no. L.T.42169, 318 Westley Richards cal., 21 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock.
Beaded blade front sight which features a flip up hood, and a five leaf (one standing, four folding) 100-500 yard rear sight on the blued steel barrel which is marked “WESTLEY RICHARDS & Co LONDON”. The blued action has a matted receiver ring and hand cut serial number and markings which read “L.T.42169/WESTLEY RICHARDS/.318 ACCELERATED/EXPRESS” on the left side. The rifle features a takedown lever at the forend for easy transportation. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered walnut pistol grip stock with ebony forend tip, grip cap, blank inscription oval, and blued steel trapdoor buttplate. Includes a canvas bound takedown case with Westley Richards label inside the lid containing two turnscrews. CONDITION: Fine, retaining 60% of the original blue finish on the metal surfaces with thinning and rub wear overall. The wood is very good with numerous dents and scratches concentrated on the left side and sharp checkering. The case is good with detached (but included) handle and significant wear. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,500 - 6,500

Factory Engraved and Gold Inlaid Griffin & Howe
M98 Bolt Action Rifle with Zeiss Scope - Serial no. 2124, 30-06 Springfield cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue/gold finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrel with hooded
ramped beaded blade front sight, “No.2124 GRIFFIN & HOWE INC. NEW YORK” marked on the top of the barrel, and “30/06 GOV.” marked at the left side of the chamber. The blued Mauser 98 type action features a jewelled bolt with knurled bolt handle, matted front bridge, provisions for a Lyman rear peep sight, and a classic Griffin & Howe scope mount holding a Zeiss Diavari-C 3-9x36 mm scope. The floorplate is blued with floral scroll engraving surrounding a gold inlaid “MEW” monogram. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered pistol grip stock with contrasting forend tip, blued steel grip cap, shadowline cheekpiece, and checkered steel trapdoor buttplate containing a Lyman rear sight. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 98% Griffin & Howe applied blue finish, minor handling evidence, and some minor oxidation inside the floorplate. The wood is also very fine with a few pressure dents on the underside of the forend, a few slight hairline cracks at the rear of the action, a few light marks, and sharp checkering. Scope has clear optics Mechanically excellent.
