LOT 3026 Winchester Model 90 Slide Action Rifle with Rare Stainless Steel Barrel - Serial no. 790393, 22 L cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue/black (Japaned) finish, walnut stock. Winchester offered the stainless steel barrel as an extra cost and later no charge option for the Model 90 rifle between 1927 and 1934. Beaded blade front and elevation adjustable notch rear sights, tenth style barrel inscription with the additional “STAINLESS STEEL” marking, Winchester “WP” proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, Third Model
receiver with exposed locking lugs, standard markings on the upper tang, and matching serial numbers on the receiver and lower tang. 12 groove slide handle and smooth straight grip stock with blue steel crescent buttplate.
CONDITION: Very fine with 70% original black Japaned finish remaining on the barrel, areas of edge wear and bright silver patina, scattered small scratches, and well defined markings. The receiver has 70% original blue finish with spotting and surface pitting on the upper right side, cycling marks, and patches of brown patina on the underside and trigger guard assembly. The wood is also
up peep sight on the factory drilled and tapped upper tang, first style barrel inscription and “22 LONG R.” on the flats, Winchester “WP” proofs on
the barrel and receiver at the breech, smooth round top receiver, matching numbers on the receiver and trigger guard assembly, smooth trigger, and checkered
hammer catch. Short 11 groove slide handle and smooth pistol grip stock with checkered blue steel buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent with 98% bright original blue finish, some minor slide retraction wear on the barrel and slide bar, and minor edge wear on the takedown screw. The wood is also excellent
with some small dings and light crazing at the heel. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,500 - 7,000

Fine Winchester Deluxe Model 1890 Slide Action Rifle in Desirable .22 Short with Factory Letter - Serial no. 176407, 22 RF Short cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, highly figured checkered walnut pistol grip stock. Manufactured in 1903. The included factory letter confirms the caliber
and checkered pistol grip stock. The factory letter also states the rifle was received in the warehouse on September 1, 1903, shipped on December 22, 1903 and returned to the factory for repair on August 7, 1914. 1902 patent beaded blade front and elevation adjustable rear
notch sights, third style barrel inscription on the top flat, “22 SHORT” caliber marking on top flat at the breech, and Second Model receiver with hidden locking lugs. Highly figured 12 groove forearm and checkered pistol grip stock with Winchester hard rubber grip cap and blue steel crescent buttplate. The left side of the lower tang and end of the buttstock have the matching assembly number “17342” with “XX” on the left side of the tang.
CONDITION: Fine with 60% plus original blue finish, artificial brown patina on the muzzle, some deeper dings and dents on the barrel, edge wear, scratches, and mostly brown patina on the tangs. The wood is also fine with attractive figure, moderately worn checkering, small scattered dings and bruises, mostly dark patina on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent.

The Model 61 was developed by Winchester in an attempt to keep pace with its competitors hammerless 22 rifles. Manufactured in 1933. tang, and matching numbers on the lower tang and receiver. 12 groove slide handle and plain straight grip stock with crescent buttplate.
CONDITION: Fine with 75% original bright nickel finish remaining, areas of high point and edge wear, and patches of dark spotting and pitting. The wood is also fine with scattered small dings, some minor finish loss, and pitting along the
buttplate edges. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,000
