Excellent Original Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 National Match Target Bolt Action Rifle - Serial no. 323706, 30-06 Springfield cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. This is a beautiful example of a very rare, all original and unaltered, Winchester Pre-64 Model 70 National Match target rifle, manufactured circa 1955. These are a very difficult rifle to obtain, much harder than a standard target rifle, as there were only approximately 1,971 produced in total for all production years (1937-59). It has a standard weight barrel with the original milled front sight ramp; which correctly lacks the slot for a front sight cover. Barrel has correct Winchester markings on the left side followed by “30-06 SPRG” and the Winchester factory circled “WP” firing proof on the barrel and receiver. The front sight ramp is fitted with a Redfield globe front sight with a post aperture insert, and the barrel rear sight slot has a factory installed filler block. The barrel and receiver are fitted with factory/Unertl type scope bases, and the receiver has the correct late production Lyman Micrometer Target receiver sight with peep aperture. It has its original Winchester “in the white” factory bolt correctly numbered to match the rifle with the late pattern safety. It has its original walnut marksman target stock with the hand-stop rail on the underside and factory hand-stop. It has factory installed sling swivels and a checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent condition with 97% plus of the original factory blue finish overall with wear visible on the bolt handle and a hint of edge wear on the muzzle. The stock is all original, unaltered and has never been glass- bedded, showing only some very minor pressure dents on the side from handling over the years. The bolt face shows very little evidence of actually being fired. The various screw heads are all intact. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,250 - 4,500
LOT 3462 Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Alaskan Bolt Action Rifle - Serial no. 459318, 338 Win magnum cal., 25 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1959. This rifle is in the Alaskan configuration which features a hooded beaded blade front sight on a matted ramp, folding express rear sight on the 25 inch barrel. The barrel is marked with the standard address and caliber marking with Winchester Proofs on the left of the chamber and receiver. The Winchester trademark is stamped on the left of the receiver. The action is mounted in a multipoint checkered walnut pistol grip stock with raised comb and solid Winchester buttpad. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 97% original blue finish with limited handling marks, some wear at the muzzle, and some marks from cycling the bolt. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750
LOT 3463 Winchester Model 52-C Target Bolt Action Rifle with Factory Crate - Serial no. 86858C, 22 LR cal., 28 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1956. Standard markings and features including an extra heavy barrel with hooded front sight, barrel mounted scope blocks, adjustable trigger, and rear peep sight. Includes wooden Winchester shipping crate with factory end label. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original blue finish with very limited handling marks. Mechanically needs work as the cocking piece does not always stay locked back until the trigger is pulled. Case is very good with storage and handling marks, and the outermost portions of the lid absent. Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750
LOT 3464 Excellent Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Bolt Action Rifle in Desirable .22 Hornet - Serial no. 185526, 22 hornet cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1951. Hood ramp front sight, adjustable sporting rear sight and receiver tapped for scope/sight mounting. Standard Winchester markings including the factory proof on the left side of the barrel and receiver at the breech. Straight receiver tang, late safety, polished bolt numbered to the gun, and sling swivels. Checkered straight comb pistol grip stock with a checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 90% plus original blue finish with limited light handling marks. Stock is very fine with a few dings and scratches, slightly softened checkering, and most of the original varnish. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750

Hood ramp front sight, rear sight dovetail filler block installed, and a rear receiver peep sight installed. Standard markings and features including Winchester proofs on the barrel and receiver, early style safety, and cloverleaf tang. Includes a leather sling. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% of the slightly faded original blue finish with limited handling marks, and some bolt cycling marks. Stock is very fine with scattered dings and scratches as well as overall crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,600 - 2,500
