Vicenso Marino and Vicenzo Cominazzo Marked Italian Flintlock Belt Pistol - NSN, 50 cal., 15 7/8 inch part octagon
bbl., bright finish, walnut stock. Vincenzo Mariano is listed in “Der Neue Stockel” as active in Napoli c. 1770-1790 while Vicenzo Cominazzo is listed c.
1675-1739. The tapered, smoothbore barrel is signed “VICENZO COMINAZZO” on top of the breech section with sun accents. The rounded lock is signed “Vicenso
Morino” and has a bridle-less pan, floral engraving, swan neck cock, and filed designs on the frizzen spring. The furniture, including the belt hook, is iron and primarily has
floral engraving. The side plate also has a mask design. The figured walnut stock is full-length and has a small band near the tip, nice molding along ramrod channel,
incised lines by the barrel transition point, and raised flats. CONDITION: Very good with gray and brown patina. light pitting/oxidation, general mild overall wear, mostly distinct engraving and markings, and general mild overall wear. The stock is good and has some small cracks and chips, a few
repairs visible ahead of the butt and in the mid-section of the forend, nice figure,

Relief Chiseled, Engraved, and Relief Carved Johann Peter Planer Flintlock Holster Pistol - NSN, 20 bore cal., 14 1/2 inch round bbl., bright finish, walnut stock. Johann Peter Planer was active around the second quarter of the 18th century in Vienna. This highly attractive pistol has a smoothbore barrel with a brass blade front sight and a relief chiseled breech section with horsemen and scroll patterns. The lock is signed “IO: PETER PLANER” under the non-bridled pan and “IN WIENN” behind the cock and is engraved mainly with martial trophies. The furniture is brass and features incised scroll and martial patterns. The stock has fine molding and incised and raised relief scroll carving. The ramrod has a horn tip. CONDITION: Very good. The barrel and lock have silver-gray patina and some minor oxidation/pitting while the brass has areas of aged patina and some areas polished bright. The stock has some small spots of filler, repairs at the entry pipe and forend tip, and general minor dings and scratches. The designs on both the metal and wood are distinct. Mechanically fine. LOT 296 Engraved Hallet Flintlock Holster Pistol - NSN, 20 bore cal., 12 1/4 inch part octagon bbl., bright finish, walnut stock. This early 18th century flintlock pistol is signed “I-HALLET” on the non-bridled lock and has scroll and border engraving. The three-stage, smoothbore barrel is unmarked. The sideplate is an elaborate pierced design with the scrolls inhabited by masks and a hunter with his dog pursuing a deer. The pierced wrist escutcheon includes a mask as well. CONDITION: Very good overall with mottled gray patina, some light oxidation and pitting, crisp engraving and markings and mild overall wear including some chips and faint cracks in the otherwise very good stock. LOT 294 Relief Chiseled and Carved Flintlock Pistol - NSN, 64 cal., 13 3/4 inch round bbl., bright finish, walnut stock. This pistol was likely made in Italy in the 18th century and has extensive relief chiseled ornamentation on the various iron components including designs of men at arms, masks, and scroll patterns. The designs on the breech end of the barrel are particularly attractive. The full-length stock has a combination of incised and raised relief carved floral patterns and a narrow wrist. The ramrod has a horn tip. CONDITION: Good with mostly gray and brown patina, mild oxidation and pitting, mostly
distinct designs throughout, and general mild overall wear. The stock is very good and has a replaced forend tip and some other small repairs, crisp carving, a few flakes at the edges, and mild wear
throughout. Mechanically fine.
