the chamber, “DWM” on
the front toggle link,
and the following early
Luger features: dished
toggles with toggle lock
on the right side, recessed breechblock, fast tapered barrel,
flat recoil spring, grip safety and no stock lug. The small parts are
straw finished, with a pair of finely checkered grips and a nickel
finished magazine with a hardwood base. Some components are
unnumbered, but all visible numbers are matching.
CONDITION: Very fine, with 80% of the original blue finish, showing areas of gray
patina on the barrel and frame, bright edge wear, and a few light scratches and
handling marks. 60% of the straw color is present, the remainder having turned a smooth gray, and the grips are fine with some mild dings on the sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

DWM 1920 Police Rework Luger Semi- Automatic Pistol Rig with Police Holster
and Extra Magazine - Serial no. 2690A, 9 mm
cal., 4 inch round bbl.,
blue finish, hardwood grips. Fixed sights, with “1911”
on top of the chamber,
“DWM” on the front toggle
link, and “1917” on the left
frame rail. The extractor and
upper safety position are
properly marked “GELADEN”
and “GESICHERT”, with a pair of
“crown/Gothic letter” proofs
and an “eagle” proof on the
right side of the extension,
and “crown/N” on the left side of
the breechblock. A police sear
safety has been installed on the
extension, though no cuts have
been made for a magazine well
safety. “SP./P.” is marked on the
front strap, suggesting issue in
the Bavarian Landespolizei region
of Speyer. Small parts are straw
finished, with checkered grips and
a nickel magazine with a hardwood
base. Included with the lot is a brown leather holster with a faint marking on the back, takedown tool, and an extra magazine.
CONDITION: Fine, with 70% of the arsenal refinished blue finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina, spotting, edge wear and handling marks. 50% of the refurbished straw color remains on the small parts. Some components, like the barrel and one of the magazines, have been renumbered to match the frame. The heavily worn grips are good, with mild scuffs and dents, and the holster is good with some scuffs, cracks and verdigris buildup. Mechanically excellent. DWM 1915 Dated Artillery Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol with Shoulder Stock and Holster - Serial no. 4815, 9 mm cal., 8 inch round bbl., blue finish, hardwood grips. Fine adjustable blade front and tangent rear sights, with the “1915” date on the chamber, “DWM” on the front toggle link, and appropriate military proofs on the barrel, receiver, and breechblock. Numbers are matching overall, including on the sight components, magazine base, and the grip panels. Included with the lot is a hardwood shoulder stock (marked “4815” on the iron), a dark brown leather holster with gold accented stampings on the face, and lighter brown straps.
CONDITION: Very fine, with 85% plus original blue finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina, scattered spotting, and mild edge wear and handling marks. 70% original straw colors remain. The grips are also very fine, with minor edge chips and a few dings on the otherwise crisp checkering. The stock is very good, with some cracking in the wood at the renumbered to match refinished iron, and the leather shows scuffing and cracking. Mechanically excellent. Excellent DWM Model 1920 Commercial Luger Semi-
Automatic Pistol with Holster - Serial no. 3150O, 7.65 mm Luger Auto cal., 3
3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, hardwood grips. Manufactured for export during the inter-war Weimar Era. Fixed sights, no date marking on top of the chamber and the “DWM” monogram on the front toggle link. “Crown/N” proofs are present on
the barrel, extension and breech block. Matching external “civilian pattern” serial numbers, with “GERMANY” on the front of the frame. Fitted with straw colored small parts, niter blue pins, springs and screws, checkered grips and a nickel magazine with an unnumbered “GERMANY” marked wood base. A black leather flap holster is included.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 98% original
blue finish, showing mild spotting
concentrated on the grip frame, bright edge
wear and mild handling marks. 95% plus original
straw colors on the small parts, with some light
dings and stains on the otherwise excellent
original grips. The holster is very good with mild cracking. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,000
