Scarce Late World War II Walther ‘ac45’ Zero Series P.38
Semi-Automatic Pistol with 22 Conversion Parts - Serial no.
026764, 9 mm cal., 4 7/8 inch round bbl., blue finish, plastic grips. This
is an excellent example of a very late production WWII Zero-Series P.38.
Manufactured concurrently with the military contract P.38, the Zero Series
was made on the same assembly lines
(and often used military inspected
components), intended for commercial
sale both in Germany and abroad. Blade
front and notch rear sights, with a full
blue finish and ribbed grips. Matching
numbers are present in the “commercial”
pattern, with the slide number on
top (obscured by the barrel when the
breech is closed) and the frame number
on the right side, with the slide marked
“P.38” and “ac45” on the left side and one each of
the “eagle/359” and “eagle/swastika” inspection
marks on the right. One magazine is included,
marked “P.38v/U” on the left side, with no military
proofs. Included with the lot is a set of conversion
kit parts housed in a Walther “wood grain” box
(originally marked for a 7.65mm PPK, hand-
remarked for a 9mm P.38), with a single shot barrel
sleeve, clearing rod, loading aid and a set of 9mm
sized cartridge adapters.
CONDITION: Excellent,
with 98% of the
original blue
finish, showing
bright edge wear,
areas of gray
patina on the front
strap, and mild handling
marks overall. The grips are excellent, with a few minor scuffs. The box shows
some tears and stains, not all of the conversion parts are compatible, and function of the sleeve with this pistol is not guaranteed. Mechanically excellent.

Rare Walther 480 Code P38
Semi-Automatic Pistol with
Matching Magazine - Serial
no. 2058, 9 mm cal., 4 7/8 inch round bbl., blue finish,
Bakelite grips. This Walther P.38 pistol with “480” Code
was produced in late 1940 and represented the first true
military contract pistol with approximately 7,250 produced. This
earlier production P38 has the high polish blue finish. The left side
of the slide is marked “P.38”, “480”, followed by the serial number.
The “480” code is also present on the left side of the trigger guard bow. The matching
serial number is also marked on the front of the barrel lug, the left side of the frame
above the trigger guard bow and on the toe of the magazine. The left side of the slide
is stamped with two “eagle/359” Army acceptance marks flanking the military “eagle/
swastika” firing proof. “Eagle/359” stamps are located on the right side of the barrel lug
and locking block, the left side of the frame, on the take-down lever, slide hold back,
on top of slide in front of the rear sight and on the hammer. The “eagle/swastika” proof
is stamped on the left side of the locking block and the bottom is marked “058”. Fitted
with serrated Bakelite grips with the round lanyard loop on the lower left side.
CONDITION: Professionally restored with 99% blue finish showing a few minor dings and scratches. There is a small area of pitting on top of the barrel and a small area of small scratches on the left side of the slide that have been finished over. The grips are very fine with a few minor scratches and nicks. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.

Holster - Serial no. 1008L, 9 mm cal., 4 7/8
inch round bbl., blue finish, plastic grips.
Fixed sights, with “P.38”, “byf/43” and the
serial number on the left side of the slide,
and “eagle/135” and “eagle/Swastika” proofs
on the right side, with the numbers and
proofs repeated on the barrel, locking block and frame. Fitted with dark brown ribbed
grips and a “P.38v” marked magazine. With
a black leather flap holster marked “dkk/43”
on the rear.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 90% of the
original blue finish, showing some edge wear,
a gray and brown patina on the front strap and chamber, and mild handling marks overall. The grips are very fine, with some light scratches. The holster is very good and shows some minor cracks and scuffs. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,300 - 1,900

War II Capture Paper - Serial no. 8315A, 9 mm cal.,
4 7/8 inch round bbl., blue finish, plastic grips. Fixed sights, with standard markings on the left side of the
slide, matching numbers and “eagle/swastika” and “eagle/ WaA135” markings in the appropriate places. With ribbed grips, an “eagle/359” proofed magazine, and a capture certificate dated 1 November 1945 to “Bearer” from a Major with the Army Air Force 312th Signal Company, identifying this pistol by serial number (sans suffix). CONDITION: Excellent, with 90% of the original blue finish, showing the start of a gray patina on the front strap, a plum tone on the barrel and frame, bright edge wear
and mild handling marks. The fine grips show a few light scratches. Mechanically excellent.

6528D, 9 mm Luger cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue
finish, plastic grips. Blade front and fixed notch
rear sights, “ac/41” code marked on left of the
slide, “eagle/swastika” firing proof and double “eagle/359” acceptance marks on the right.
Matching serial numbers marked on the slide,
frame, barrel, and locking block. The grips are ribbed plastic, with a blued “P.38v/ac” marked magazine. Includes a “cga”“41” marked P39 (T) replacement black leather holster and extra “P.38v/ac” magazine. CONDITION: Excellent, retains 97% plus bright original high polish blue finish with a few light scratches. Grips are also excellent with some light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
