 ATF Exempted Siamese Contract Krupp Model 1906 Mountain Howitzer with Carriage - NSN, 50 mm , 24 3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish. This mountain howitzer was manufactured circa 1906 by Krupp of Germany on contract with Siam, and is chambered for use with 50mm centerfire ammunition. These were designed to be easily disassembled by hand in order to allow it to be transported in rough terrain by mules, elephants, or soldiers. “FRIED. KRUPP. A.G.” above “ESSEN” and Siamese markings are located on the
rear face of the howitzer. A brass plate that reads “FRIED. KRUPP/A.G./ESSEN A/R.Nr.16” in three lines is attached to the carriage. Siamese markings on various components. This
considered a “Curio & Relic Other” firearm. CONDITION: Very fine, retains 75% original blue finish with areas thinning to a brown and a few small spots of surface corrosion. Drilled and tapped on top of the breech and fitted with a modern scope rail adapter. Absent rear sight assembly. Mechanically excellent. Carriage is fine, retains most of the applied tan paint with some light flaking, and a split in one of the spokes on the right wheel.
