Outstanding Colt First Series Match Target Woodsman Semi-Automatic Pistol with Original Box - Serial no. MT8415, 22 LR cal., 6 5/8 inch slab sided bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1940, with the standard two- line address and patent date marked on top of the barrel. The left side of the slide has the standard Colt and caliber markings followed by the Rampant Colt. The left of the frame is marked “THE WOODSMAN”, and the left of the barrel
is marked “MATCH/TARGET” above and below the bullseye logo. It is fitted with Patridge blade front and adjustable notch rear sights and the very desirable checkered walnut “elephant ear” grips with Colt medallions. Includes the original box, yellow hang tag with the Rampant Colt logo discussing the sights, “Form 57” green Woodsman hang
tag, serialized test target, “Shooting Suggestions” pamphlet with “proper care” card on the back, “Colt ‘Woodsman’ Automatic Pistol” booklet/manual, and small brown envelope.
CONDITION: Excellent in the original box, retaining 99% plus of the original blue finish with only the slightest handling marks overall and crisp checkering on the grips. Mechanically excellent. The box and accessories are all fine with some mild wear and a few separated corners of the lid.

Pre-War Colt First Series Woodsman Target Semi-Automatic Pistol with Box - Serial no. 92854, 22 LR cal., 6 5/8 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1934. Standard markings with adjustable Patridge blade front and adjustable notch rear sights. With unnumbered factory box with the correct “TARGET” and “PATRIDGE SIGHTS” end labels.
CONDITION: Excellent. 97% plus original blue finish remains with some light muzzle wear, sharp markings, and some small dings. The grips are fine with sharp checkering, a few light bruises, and a small flat spot on the right panel. Mechanically excellent. Box is fair with tape repairs, extensive wear, scuffs, partial labels, and some peeling. Estimate: 1,400 - 2,250

Woodsman Sport Model Semi-Automatic Pistol
with Desirable Colt-King Super Target Conversion
- Serial no. 121240, 22 LR cal., 6 3/4 vent rib bbl., blue
finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1937. This first series
Woodsman features the highly desirable Colt-King Super Target
sight conversion with added serrated vent rib on the barrel marked “COLT-KING
SUPER TARGET” on the left side, Patridge blade front sight with inset reflector, and
fully adjustable rear notch sights. Standard markings on the barrel, frame, and slide,
serial number on the front grip strap, checkered grips, and two-tone Colt Woodsman marked magazine. Fitted with a set of walnut target grips featuring a thumb rest on the left panel and an extended right panel.
CONDITION: Excellent as upgraded by King Sight Company for Colt, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks. The unique Roper grips are also excellent with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. This is your chance to add a Colt-King Super Target Woodsman to

World War II Era Colt Woodsman Semi-Automatic
Pistol with Colt/King Barrel Counterweight System
- Serial no. 180225, 22 LR cal., 6 1/2 inch round bbl., blue
finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1942. This pistol features
adjustable front and rear sights with standard markings. This pistol also
features a barrel weight system beneath the barrel (two barrel weights installed) which was likely installed by King Gun Sight Company. Fitted with a set of checkered Roper thumbrest grips marked “41” inside each panel.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% plus original blue finish with scattered handling marks and edge wear. Grips are very fine with some handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Target Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no. MT5096, 22
LR cal., 6 5/8 inch slab sided bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1939 with standard markings and features including the desirable one-piece “elephant ear” grip.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina, primarily on the back strap and edges. The grips are excellent with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
