Rare, Outstanding Smith & Wesson .38 Safety
Hammerless 5th Model Double Action Bicycle
Revolver with Pearl Grips - Serial no. 260626,
38 S&W cal., 2 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, pearl
grips. Manufactured circa 1907 to 1940 with this example
equipped with the rare and desirable factory original special
order 2 inch barrel. The barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON”
on the left side, and the caliber marking is stamped on the right side.
The frame has the S&W trademark along with “MADE IN U.S.A.” on the
right side. Matching serial number on the butt, cylinder, barrel latch, and
barrel. The revolver wears a set of S&W medallion pearl grips.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% plus bright original high polish blue
finish with light cylinder drag lines. 97% original case colors remain on the trigger. The grips are also excellent with highly attractive fiery colors. Mechanically excellent.

.38 Double Action Perfected Revolver with
Factory Letter - Serial no. 59400, 38 S&W cal., 4 inch
solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock, walnut grips. The
included factory letter confirms the 4 inch barrel, blue
finish, and checkered gold medallion grips. The gun is listed as
special order explaining the target sights, when it was shipped to
Victor Lee Emerson, c/o Emerson Engineering Co. Philadelphia, PA,
on March 22, 1934. The letter also states that this revolver was the
last Perfected Model ever made and holds the highest serial number recorded.
The revolver has matching serial numbers on the barrel, barrel latch, cylinder, and butt. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus bright original high polish blue finish, minor handling evidence, light cylinder drag line, and sharp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. of 1891” .38 Single Action Third Model
Target Revolver with Factory Letter - Serial
no. 24592, 38 S&W cal., 4 inch solid rib bbl., blue/
casehardened finish, walnut grips. Also known as the Model
of 1891, with production from 1891 to 1911. This is a scarce
high condition and highly desirable target variation. White
bead accented Lyman front sight, with an adjustable notch rear sight integrating a white sighting plane. The two line, two block address and patent marks are present on the barrel rib, bisected with “MODEL of 91”, caliber marking on the left side of the barrel, and matching numbers on the barrel, cylinder and butt. Casehardened wide target hammer and trigger guard, with correct Smith & Wesson First Model checkered extended grips. The included S&W factory letter confirms
the revolvers configuration, other than the grips, and
that it was shipped from the factory on July 28, 1911 and
delivered to Folsom Arms Co,.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 98% of the original blue
finish, showing bright edges, and scattered collector type
handling marks. Bright and vivid case colors are present
on the hammer, with the trigger guard turning silver.
Grips are excellent, with a few light pressure dents and
crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Cased Smith & Wesson First Model “Model of 1891” Single Action Combination Revolver/Pistol - Serial no. 15541, 38 S&W cal., 5 inch solid rib bbl., nickel finish, hard rubber grips. This is a cased combination set for the Model 1891 (manufactured 1893-1905) consisting of a .38 caliber revolver barrel and cylinder and a .22 caliber single shot barrel. The .22 caliber barrel is numbered to the gun (barrel latch unnumbered) and has the Model
of 1891 rib marking. The revolver set is currently installed to the frame and has mixed numbers (“2144” on the cylinder, “20946” on the barrel latch, and unnumbered barrel). The right grip panel is numbered to the gun. The faux period custom leather bound case holds the entire set and is lined in green felt.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 95% original nickel plating and grips with some scattered handling marks and overall crisp checkering. Traces of original case colors remain on the trigger guard. 90% original case colors remain on the hammer. The .22 caliber barrel is also excellent, retaining 97% original nickel plating. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with discoloration on the latch and minimal wear.

Shot Pistol - Serial no. 3268, 22
LR cal., 10 inch solid rib bbl., nickel finish,
walnut stock, hard rubber grips. Manufactured
between 1905 and 1909. Hooded beaded blade
front sight and rear aperture peep sight, the left
of the frame and barrel are stamped with a London
proof mark, otherwise standard markings and features.
Matching serial number on the barrel, barrel lever, and the front strap. Includes a period hardwood case, bore brush, cleaning rod, oiler, screwdriver, and a box of Remington UMC .22 LR ammunition (number of rounds uncounted).
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 97% plus original nickel finish with
only minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the grips. The case is very fine with light storage type wear. Mechanically excellent.
