Factory Game Scene Engraved B. Searcy Double
Rifle Signed by Butch Searcy with Case - Serial
no. BL-281, 470 Nitro Express cal., 24 inch solid
rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued steel
barrels with ramped beaded blade font sight, rear quarter rib with fixed notch rear
sight and “B. SEARCY & Co. STURGIS, SD, U.S.A.” marking, caliber marked on the left,
and chambers with ejectors. The coin finished boxlock action displays nice scroll
engraving on the side and a beautifully cut cape buffalo standing in a field on the underside. The rifle features bushed firing pins, double trigger, and a tang mounted manual safety. The rifle is signed “BUTCH SEARCY” to the left of the trigger, this is one of only two rifles built by Searcy to be signed by the owner according to the included 2009 dated letter from the company. Beautifully figured,
multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with engraved coin grip cap, raised cheek piece, and leather covered recoil pad. Includes a leather bound takedown case, instructions
and load data, and a canvas sling. Length of pull 14 5/8 inches. Weight 10 lbs. 2 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 95% plus original blue finish and 99% original coin finish, minor handling evidence, slight rub at the right muzzle, slight wear to the recoil pad, and sharp wood checkering. The case is very good. Mechanically Excellent.

LOT 536 Factory Engraved and Gold Inlaid B. Searcy & Co. Falling Block Single Shot Stalking Rifle with Case - Serial no. S-104, 9.3 mmx74 R cal., 24 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened/gold finish, walnut stock. Blued barrel featuring a ramped beaded blade front sight, front sling stud, fixed rear sight on the smooth “B. SEARCY & Co” marked rib which also holds a set of Talley scope rings, and caliber marking at the breech. The casehardened falling block action displays nicely inlaid “B. SEARCY & CO.” in gold and features a tang mounted rotary safety. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with contrasting tip and pistol grip stock with engraved blued steel grip cap, shadowline cheek piece, rear sling stud, and leather wrapped recoil pad. Includes a leather bound takedown case with Searcy interior label and canvas and leather cover. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue, casehardened, and gold finishes with minor handling evidence, slight rub at the muzzle, and sharp checkering. The case is excellent.
