Exceptional, As Issued, U.S.M.C. Harrington & Richardson MC-58 Semi-Automatic Training Rifle with Original Box and Accessories - Serial no. 8630, 22 LR cal., 23 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, walnut stock. This is an exceptional, as-issued, example of a Harrington & Richardson MC-58 .22 caliber semi-automatic training rifle with U.S. Marine Corp property markings. Ordered by the United States Marine Corps, the MC-58 was intended as a small caliber training counterpart for the M14 rifle, adapting the H&R Model 65 Reising with an appropriate stock and set of sights. The included original shipping box (with hand numbered label matching the rifle) and sealed rifle wrapping material were opened upon arrival at Rock Island Auction Company for inspection. Also includes a CMP shipping box, MC-58 Marine Corp stock list booklet, modern trigger lock, Boyt leather sling still sealed in original wrap, and another sealed wrap containing two extra magazines, an extractor, and a firing pin. CONDITION: Near new overall, as issued, and only opened for inspection prior to selling. The gun has untouched residue on it from the packing material that does not affect the finish of the gun. Mechanically excellent. Included original box is fine with some light corner and edge wear, one end unsealed for inspection, and some slight age discoloration. This pristine, as issued, example of a U.S.M.C. Harrington & Richardson MC-58 training rifle would make an excellent addition to any U.S. military firearms collection! Estimate: 3,500 - 5,500

Exceptional Pre-World War I U.S. Springfield Model 1903 Bolt Action N.R.A. Sales Rifle - Serial no. 623623, 30-06 Springfield cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. This is an excellent example
of a very desirable U.S. Springfield Model 1903 N.R.A. sales rifle. This rifle is marked with the distinctive Ordnance shell and flame insignia ove “N.R.A.” underneath the front of the trigger guard assembly to differentiate it from the standard issued service rifles. These N.R.A. marked rifles were available only to N.R.A. members prior to U.S. entry into World War I. All N.R.A. sales rifles were brand new (never rebuilt or altered) and subjected to stringent inspection criteria to include hand selection of the rifle based on the beauty of the wood components for color and uniformity, overall high grade blue finish and Star Gauging of the barrel to ensure land and groove uniformity for the best possible accuracy. These rifles were intended for National Match shooting prior to World War I. The receiver is roll marked with the five-line, standard Springfield Armory
markings, and the top of the barrel is stamped “S.A.” above the Ordnance shell and flame insignia and the date “2-16”. The rifle has an oil quenched casehardened receiver and all blued milled component that include the barrel bands, bolt, trigger guard, and floorplate. The safety and cut-off lever are casehardened. The cut-off lever is correctly polished on the “ON” side. It is fitted with a walnut “S” style stock that has a single reinforcing bolt, high hump handguard with proper rear sight clearance cut and spring clips, and checkered steel buttplate with compartment. The rifle has a serrated trigger, dished
windage and elevation knob, and rear sight leaf with the 2,850 yard notch. “H” marked on the bayonet lug, “I 8” marked on the right of the rear bolt lug, the left stock wrist is stamped with the Ordnance final inspection initials “J.S.A.” in a rectangle, a small “D” in the cutoff recess, and a small “23” above a circled script “P” firing proof stamped behind the trigger guard. Includes a “1918” dated M1907 leather sling. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, retains 85% plus original blue and oil-quenched finish with some light wear areas on the bolt, a few areas lightly thinning to a smooth brown, a partially struck N.R.A. stamp with otherwise sharp markings and edges in the metal. Stock is excellent with crisp grasping grooves, defined edges, a few light scratches and handling marks, and a crisp cartouche. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Paul Crockett Jr. Collection. LOT 1475 Harrington & Richardson Model 60 Reising Semi-Automatic Carbine - Serial no. 1279, 45 ACP cal., 18 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, walnut stock. Approximately 3,248 of these Reising Model 60 semi- automatic carbines were manufactured between 1944-1946. Blade front and elevation adjustable peep rear sights, with the three-line model and address markings atop the receiver, “PM” on the breech, and the “SAFE S.A.” selector markings on the right. Smooth pistol grip stock with a ribbed steel buttplate. CONDITION: Fine, retains 50% original parkerized finish with bright surfaces showing through with scattered light freckling on the balance, and sharp markings and edges in the metal overall. Stock is also fine with scattered light handling marks and scratches, and defined edges. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,500

Springfield Armory Model 1903 NRA Sporter Bolt Action Rifle -
Serial no. 1285375, 30-06 cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. The receiver was manufactured in early 1928. The barrel is stamped with a star on the muzzle, with “S A/flaming bomb/12- 27” behind the standard front sight and with the star gauge number “B/1335” on the bottom. The bolt is stamped “W L/3” on the top flat of the bolt knob and is electropenciled “1285375” on top of the polished bolt body. There is a Lyman peep sight mounted to the right rear of the receiver. Mounted on a smooth walnut pistol grip stock with circled “P” proof on the front of the pistol grip, two reinforcing bolts and a cupped steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine, 85% plus of the original blue finish remains with some scattered minor scratches along with muzzle and high edge wear. The stock is also very fine with scattered dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,250
