Documented Canadian Contract Smith & Wesson .455 Mark II Hand Ejector Double
Action Revolver with Factory Letter - Serial no. 3979, 455 MKII cal., 6 1/2 inch round bbl., blue
finish, walnut grips. The included factory letter confirms the current configuration when the revolver was shipped on December 29, 1914 to Remington in New York, New York, who were the purchasing agents for the British government. Canadian “cross pennants” ahead of cylinder on frame, British proofs on the rear of frame, left grip panel numbered to another gun, and matching serial numbers on the butt,
cylinder, and barrel.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 90% plus original blue finish with mild handling evidence, areas of minor spotting, some edge wear on the very fine grips, and sharp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,750 - 4,250

factory letter lists this revolver as having a 5 inch barrel,
blue finish and checkered walnut grips when shipped to E.K.
Tryon Co. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 11, 1955. Right grip panel numbered to a different gun. Matching numbers found on butt, cylinder, and ejector shroud.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks, a partial cylinder drag line, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent.

War) Double Action Revolver with Factory Letter - Serial no. 49873, 38 S&W special cal., 5 inch round bbl., nickel finish, walnut grips. The included factory letter lists the revolver with a 5 inch barrel, nickel finish, and checkered walnut grips when
it was shipped to J. E. Roy, Sheriff Lieutenant,
Willis County, Waxahackie, TX, on November 30, 1936. Right grip panel numbered to another gun. Matching serial numbers on the barrel,
cylinder, and butt.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 90% plus original nickel finish with light handling evidence, scattered spotting, a few pressure marks in the grips, and sharp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,500
Smith & Wesson .38/44 Heavy Duty Pre-Model 20 Double Action Revolver with Gold Box and Factory Letter - Serial no. S148015, 38 S&W special cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. The included factory letter lists this revolver as having a 4 inch barrel, blue finish and checkered walnut magna grips when shipped on May 25, 1955 to Dave Cook Sporting Goods Co. in Denver, Co. Matching serial number on butt, right grip panel, cylinder, and ejector shroud. Also included is a correct S&W gold box (serial number illegibly faded).
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish with light handling marks, a faint cylinder drag line, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good with storage and handling marks mostly concentrated around the corners.

Smith & Wesson Postwar-Transitional .44 Hand Ejector Third Model Double Action Revolver with Gold Box and Factory Letter - Serial no. S69145, 44 S&W special cal., 5 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. The included factory letter lists this revolver as having a 5 inch barrel, blue finish, and checkered walnut magna grips when shipped to Decker Brothers in Mason City, Iowa on August 23, 1946. Matching serial numbers on butt, right grip panel, cylinder, and ejector shroud. Includes a correct S&W model gold box (no visible numbers).
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 97% plus
original blue finish with some minor muzzle wear, a few dings behind the
hammer and a cylinder drag line. Nearly all original case colors remain
on hammer and trigger. Grips are also excellent with a small ding near the bottom (left panel) and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very fine with storage and handling marks.
